HOF is the best mode to play on imo. Pitches do warp tho and connectivity issues will make for an unpleasant experience lol

They need to expand HOF. Maybe make all star to 799. 800-1200 (maybe 1100) HOF. 1200+ legend

Definitely need better rewards at 1000, 1100, etc. 10 packs of common and bronze doesn't do anything.

Didn't mean to come off so aggressive in my last post -- my bad!

As for "pitching respectfully," I suppose my take would be pitching in the zone at least half the time. NOT "meatballs." I throw about 60-70% strikes (if not more) and rely on strategy and skill rather than the simple fact that most people can't catch up to outliers. I'm almost always ahead in the count and will certainly throw 58 foot curves/changes or backfoot sliders, but not regularly on 0-0, 1-0, 2-0 counts.

And yes, most people CAN'T invest the time necessary to "git gud" at reading uber-buffed pitching to make WS. Lots of older players, like me, have stuff to do and/or want to play the game (as opposed to practicing it).

    All respect! Take care

I don't mean this to come off as rude, but "pitching respectfully" might be one of the dumbest concepts I've ever seen on this forum. Unless you're intentionally trolling by hitting every batter or something like that, whatever you throw should be fair game.

I throw the majority of my pitches in the zone, but if my opponent is swinging wildly on every 0-0, 1-0, or 2-0 count and I pick up on that, then why should I continue to throw it in the zone? That would be a poor strategy. The whole point of pitching is to get your opponent out, and you do that by throwing something they don't expect or putting in a location they can't do anything with. When you're pitching, you're looking for their strengths and weaknesses. If my opponent is able to turn on a couple of fastballs up and in, then it would be foolish to continue to throw it up there. If my opponent can't hit a fastball up and in, it would be foolish NOT to throw it up there when you need an out. If my opponent is going to swing at every single pitch I throw, guess what? The pitches won't be in the zone anymore until they figure out how to take a pitch.

Sure, you can argue that spamming the same pitch over and over again is boring and unrealistic, but I would argue that it is up to the opponent to make you change your strategy. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it". If they don't want the same pitch over and over again, they have to do something about that by making the pitcher pay.

    Perfect example of “pitching disrespectfully”.

You’re assuming your opponent can’t hit or won’t make an adjustment.

Every pitch you throw should be one you're assuming your opponent can't hit or at the very least isn't expecting. If you're exclusively throwing pitches that you're assuming your opponent can hit and/or is expecting, then you have an odd strategy.

Nobody is talking about throwing meatballs. I’m just answering the question as to what “pitching disrespectfully” means.

That being said, I also disagree with your comment. Pitching to contact is a real thing both irl baseball and, to a lesser degree, in this game.

No comments? I like this as it gives casuals all star until 800. WS players can start at 800 on HOF.

I wouldn't be opposed to this but you have to remember the all star people make up the huge majority of players. Mine gives them from wherever you end veteran up to 799. HOF which I think is a favorite of a lot of CS and WS players then gets extended from 800-1100 or 1200. You also have to adjust the rewards for 1000+.

The best way to hit on HOF is to play on legend and then drop down. I played Edward Cabrera on legend a few days ago and lost, scored maybe 2 runs. The very next game I was on HOF against Cabrera and I think I scored like 12 runs and only struck out a few times.

I usually warm up in conquest on legend, that helps but it's still harder RS on HOF. I'd say that if you have a big game and really want to warm up for HOF, try to play at least a few games of online play on legend

I typically warm up on legend in BP, but have not found a way to BP against Cabrera, something I'm missing? Also how do you warm up against Cabrera or are you referring to his live series card?

You can download a roster that has a pitcher with Cabrera’s delivery and pitches..I forget the name of it but look up ohchev on YouTube and he has a video on it

No, I warm up against whoever is the opposing pitcher for the team I am playing in conquest. Conquest on legend isn't always as hard as HOF online but at least it's something that you can make progress on and warm up at the same time.

If you have the time or don't care about your online rated record, you can also play an online game on legend settings with MLB teams which is much more effective than playing vs CPU

I think a span of 400 RS points is just fine for AS.

Personally I'd like to see AS go a bit higher than 699 only because getting to there is fairly easy for me but staying in HOF is not so the constant yoyo of AS and HOF is annoying for me.
