Ohtani or Chipper

Both of these collections would cost me about 400k each to finish. I have enough stubs to finish one of them. Any suggestions on which one to go for?
Chipper now, ohtani will drop in cost as more hrd/asg packs are released in future content.

Chipper is a powerful switch hitter who can effectively play 3B, SS, or LF. He’s been in my lineup since I first got him in the “2nd inning”.
-
Yea chipper being a switch hitter makes him the best card in a set by far. Ohtani isn’t all that anyway. And Ortiz is as good as the first basemen from ohtani set.

Chipper. By far
This. Ohtani is not good. Doesn't he have the same numbers as DeGrom on the slider? His slider is terrible.
-
Ohtani.
There is a 99 chipper every single year. There will probably never be another 125 power hitting starting pitcher in this game. Have fun and enjoy it.
His card also isn’t going to drop as far as people tell you.
The he’s not worth it, and to wait till he’s cheaper crew DONT have him. They are just wishfully thinking SDS will release ten of the HRD and AS packs like they did years ago when there was no collection and the cards were garbage. They would have told you the 42s would be quicksell value before the AS game because three years ago the pre order cards were.
-
chipper every game, ohtani 1 in 4-5
-
Chipper no doubt

@vBald_XBLCBrev in one of his videos last week: This Shohei Ohtani is the best player in MLB The Show history and it may not even be close.
-
Chipper no doubt at all.

On paper maybe. But you can't use him every game and frankly his pitching is underwhelming. That slider does absolutely nothing at 80mphs but sit there for BP. Maybe its different on Legend but most people aren't playing at that level and on AS/HoF, Chipper is by far the better option
Plus getting Chipper gets you Ortiz and Soriano and some other decent cards along the way that can contribute to Mo/other collections.

Yeah, it’s a fun debate. My favorite pitcher in this game is definitely Ohtani and my favorite hitter is definitely Chipper.

chipper, i have both, but bottomline Ohtani is a decent pitcher nothing more, and a great hitter which means you can use him every 4 or 5 games. Chipper is every game, 3B, SS, LF.

No card is worth locking in 400k stubs.. Bad investment
