Baez is my fave current player but the best I see us getting is a 94-97 prob on 94 side. A Flashback card maybe.

while i like baez, this was a little over dramatic..Maybe, but with AG trash talking and feuding with the Cubs, Baez did have a big boy walk off against AG. Any other pitcher and that would’ve just been a fly ball like you said.

That he acted like was a game 7 grand slam. Didn't see him taking his jersey off and pounding his chest last week when he single handedly booted two balls giving the Cardinals 4 runs in an inning and hanging his pitcher out to dry.

That was a routine fly ball out in any other situation. There was nothing big boy about it lol. Including the sad attempt to show AG up. Baez is overrated and talks alot for someone who rarely backs it up.

Yeah, he needs to simmer down. I don't mind the emotion and I know Garrett gets mouthy too, but the Cubs aren't really world beaters this year.

while i like baez, this was a little over dramatic..It's not the drama of the sacrifice fly that won the game (likely counted as a double..didn't check the box-score). It's the human drama, the pure emotion of personal competition between Baez and Garrett.
It's the one "moment" I'll always remember about this season. Regardless of where the Cubs finish, whether Baez sticks around or anything else. It was a human moment that occasionally exists between the lines but is pretty rare.
Baez won that battle in the war. Kicked Garrett's azz in front of 100's of thousands. LOVED IT!!
