Collection Now impossible.

Hello I was playing some diamond dynasty last night trying to unlock the new acuna, aka my favorite player in real life as a Braves fan, by doing some showdown for affinity. But when opening a pack I accidentally took josh hader for a second time and now I think that it is impossible for me to complete the collection as there are only 30 players and you need all 30 and can only get them once. Is there any way I can disc this or am I just missing something I can do? Please I really want this acuna.

Only option is to file a support ticket/email to support and mention that you selected a player twice. Probably mention which player you took 2x and which you still need.
Then you just sit and wait until it gets resolved. Could be a few days, could be a month or more.

I understand they need to put something in place to avoid this happening, but how does this happen so often? I go nice and slow and feel like there is enough info on my screen to keep it from happening.
That said, you all have given me anxiety about opening any choice pack this year. Thanks for making a video game stressful!

Do you people expect them to read and respond to every post on here? Contact support and stop spamming the forums with this.
And Acuna being your favorite player is irrelevant.

Yeah I would like to think I would never do it but we are human. Mistakes happen so I would never fault someone. Just very unfortunate

It’s human nature to vent when you’re frustrated and that’s what forums are for. You see the topic title, so if you don’t want to hear it, don’t click. If you THINK you’re perfect and THINK you could never make a simple mistake, good for you. What truly sucks is that tickets are either forgotten, ignored or take forever. SDS doesn’t even address the issue or make simple changes to the game to resolve the issue. It’s like accidentally trying open a door the wrong way and being locked out for a month. I’ve submitted several tickets for the duplicate card issue and almost 2 months with no response. Where else is that type of customer service acceptable?

If I could like this twice in honor of the accidental duplicate pick I would... lol. I accidentally picked two Carlos Rodons and I am a Salvador Perez card away from the 99 All Star Acuna card myself.
With that being said, if your post about accidentally picking a card twice was violating any community rules, it would've been taken down a while ago. So for anyone to come on here and denigrate you for making an honest mistake is really childish. I mean what do they want? A pat on the shoulder for not making the mistake you made? OK I will play that game:
@JKooch66_XBL and @bman49er_PSN you guys are the smartest people I have ever met. You knew enough not to make duplicate picks and you should be honored accordingly. In fact, I think SDS should give you all a free pack for being so smart.

I'm pretty sure you can buy the all star cards on the market? I might be wrong, but I swear I was just looking at the prices of those cards to see how much it would be to collect them all to get 99 ohtani...

Unfortunately that isn't what he means.
He is actually talking about just the set of cards for Acuna and the fact that you need 30 cards for it to complete that.
The set is needed to get him and those are actually the team affinity 3 cards that need locked in order to actually get him. If you pick a duplicate your screwed on getting him -
In the end I hope people get these issues resolved and that maybe next year they do more to prevent it (I don't see it happening this year).
But, as much as I hope they resolve the issue for all who have had it happen, I don't believe that they are obligated to do so. This was a preventable user error, one that they have already tried to minimize by labeling which cards you have already taken.
But it is worth asking them to see if they will
