Unless it was a walk off or something special then I am not sure it is Topps worthy. Goldschmidt went 3 for 4 with a HR and two RBIs in yesterdays game and has hit homers in 3 straight games and I am not anticipating him getting one.

Eh, true. I just figured since it was a new team with instant contributions
I forgot about him having that 90 HRD card already, too. I’m sure that would keep it from manifesting into a card for The Show (if Topps were to even select him for a TN card).
Just checked Topps website. They have one for Fried going 3-3 with 2rbi. Joc is in the background of the card art lol

Didn’t even realise he went. Wasn’t exactly lighting up the Cubs. But another player we’re letting go. Cubs are a joke this season.

From everything I have been reading you should get used to seeing players leaving the next few weeks, unless Chicago just asks for too much.

I just looked at the Inventory on The Show. The Braves are the only team without a Topps Now card so maybe they get one soon if a player comes through. There are about 5 other teams that only have 1. Meanwhile there are several teams that have 5 Topps now cards already.

Goldschmidt will almost certainly get a SS or an Awards card at some point tho.

It is time for the Cubs to start a major rebuild again. They need top prospects and to unload the entire team for them. I love Baez, but I am sick of watching him over swing and miss sliders by 3 feet.
