^ exactly, as of now im rocking castle in right. my friend is loving judge so I may have to try him out but its been the player everyone else seems to hit bombs with and I cant do anything other than pop out or hit roll overs to third with. castle has a short leash before I try judge out just bc hes too good to not try

I think as far as outfield go I want castel, judge, mulleens, teoscar is 4th on the list. im not sure of any other possible options but that seems what id go with

jake cronenworth (new starting 2b)
jacob degrom
alex reyes
rafael devers (bench bat)
salvador perez (bench bat)
nicholas castellanos (starting RF)
trea turner (bench bat)
matt olson (was going to be my starting 1b until AS MVP vladdy came out)gregory soto was going to be in my bullpen, but i have lit him up in RS and he also got rocked....so may take him out

Solid list. I would only swap Hader and Soto. Soto's delivery is very straight forward, I think Hader with that cross body style gets more break on his slider and more swings and misses. Perez is definitely the better hitter and I might even put Zunino over him. However I am using the Realmuto allstar card which is 10 times better imo. Escobar was really a surprise for me. Joram is great and those quirks are second to non but I just could not get any exit velocity out of him. Could be user error. Degrom and Turner are must haves and will be in my lineup for a while. Olson is making his case to play over Oriz and Prince.

This is all nice and dandy but the list should change depending on difficulty you’re playing on. I know for myself there’s a bunch on cards I’d play on AS but wouldn’t dare use in higher difficulties

@Lord_Blumpkin35 I hear you. Castellanos bat is dope but I play him with that defense. That’s why I’m sticking it out with judge. 90 fielding 99 arm plus his hitting stats. I gotta learn to hit with him lol

I just completed the Ohtani collection so head is spinning bc I have so many new cards to figure out who i can actually use. I value speed in outfield but most of these TA3 cards are poor defense in outfield. Turner and Degrom are must starts

I think Rafael Devers deserves a lot more love than this. I have all 30 players and I've found the most success with Devers by a long shot.

yup he's a great platoon for 1b or 3b.
i did hit a contact homer with him against LHP Soto

I love the missions this round as well. I did the card collection and only the first exchange for each division, then I promptly finished NL East in 4 PvCPU games. Easiest TA ever!

That realmuto card is legit. I am sad I have to bench Carlos Santana, but I think I’m going to have Kyle start and platoon JT against a lefty and as a D replacement for late game.

This is extremely poor logic. You want to platoon JT against his worst splits? Not to mention Kyle’s numbers vs lefties are better than JTs.
If you want to platoon a catcher vs lefties, why wouldn’t you go with Perez or Zunino? Both are maxed out vs lefties

I currently can't figure out who I want as my bench C - AS Salvy or AS JT. I like Salvy a little better hitting wise, but the BIG plus with JT is the 70+ speed from the C spot.

I think for everyone it comes down to how well you do with certain swings. Normally I would agree on Olsonbut Im using Devers at first and love his swing. I know he looks bad against lefties but I usually platoon at first base so I will probably platoon Salvy or Castellanos and Devers at first for a while. Ill be interested to see what Gehrig looks like who I normally love but I doubt his attributes will match any of the first base options released in TA3.

Nice write up OP. I enjoyed reading this. Escobar is this seasons Mauricio. Will get on base a ton but when you look at his card you don’t think wow so people with all the cards will find 20 ways for him not to be in the lineup and people without all the top cards won’t see him used a lot so he will be way underused.
