Here's my issue with using a SP in relief
-
I think the idea was for us to have a starting pitcher in the bullpen for when our starter got rocked. Gives up 5 or more runs early. We have someone so we don't burn our bullpen. or when we go into extra innings. We have a starter there to finish the game for us.
But people are already abusing this. My opponent brought in Greinke in the 4th inning when he was already leading by 2 or 3 runs. His pitcher still had plenty of stamina left. There was no reason for him to do that. This is how were going to play the game all year? That's not how baseball is played.

Huh? Only time you have access to bring in SP is at beginning of the game. How are you able to bring in a starting pitcher after game begins? Bullpen is comprised of relief and closers only, no starters.

Go to the bullpen and hit R1, all starters.

I don’t mind this tbh. The game has a lot more issues and technically you can bring in a sp in a real game at any time you want in baseball. I actually like this.
I do think however pitchers should be exerting more energy when ever they pitch because you never have to use your 4 and 5 starters if you don’t want.
