Ramone suckered me in with custom leagues. But those are incredibly feature lacking. So i decide to grind away in DD.
But RNG is just as prevelant as ever. Some of these Affinity moments are a joke. I've watched Trout miss popups multiple times in the Ohtani moment, which always seems to be followed by a perfect timed pitch hanging for a HR for the next batter... And the HOU Correa moment. AB after AB with good/good or even perfect, but the ball never finds grass.
MTO and Showdown are just as RNG plagued, too. MTO on HOF is the most unrewarding experience I've ever had. CPU smashing balls out of the zone to tie games late. Meanwhile, the heart of my lineup is swinging with pool noodles when it comes to the bottom of the 9th. I understand that patience is rewarded. But being penalized for squaring up early count pitches is not the game I want.
And Showdown is a mode I'll never touch under the current RNG choke hold. Once was enough to see how unrewarding it is with input. Clearly SDS would prefer we waste our time in these modes to prolong game play.
And we all know the joke that is online/competitive play by this point. What a shame. I wonder if we'll ever have a baseball game again that rewards the user. SDS clearly isn't capable of making the game we want, whether it's intentional or a case of inability. But my gue$$ is that is intentional.

First week of this game it played correctly. It played correctly up to patch 1.04. What a breath of fresh air. FIX YOUR GAME SDS!!

Online plays almost exactly like last year, games are always close even though one guy is hitting perfects all day while the other guy is popping up and striking out. Why do they think this is fun?

It's not about fun it's about $$. People keep spending and nothing will change.
