Do showdown. It's the fastest way to get them because if you win you get 20 points towards any team in that division. Showdown really depends on skill level though. If you aren't a decent hitter, you will struggle in the mode. You can try to complete all the missions before the final boss to get as many runs as possible, but that is extremely time consuming. For me, the most effective showdown method is to complete up until the second boss and then skip ahead, but I would consider myself to be an above average hitter, so take that as you like. If showdown is a struggle, there are two other ways to do it. The first is to complete the exchange under missions, but this costs a lot of stubs. Second, you can fill a lineup with a bunch of players from said team and grind out games against the CPU to get points through the innings mission, but this is extremely time consuming. Most people have these cards from doing showdown a bunch or spending a significant amount of stubs,

Showdowns
Through minimal effort I already have 6, I might try to get all of them
-
Yeah showdown is definitely the way, I got 10 FOTF players through playing showdowns exclusively.

Two WS calibre players talking about how easy showdown is. Shocker. Lmfao

Lol sorry for being a good player, I'm just responding to why he doesn't understand that some people have so many of those FOTF players. That's the explanation.

I mean, I’ve got 3 (and have enough vouchers for a 4th but I’m holding them) and I am hardly a WS player. Showdowns are doable by above average players if you have played discipline (I’m 6-6 in final showdowns). But you can also get them with MTO (48 points for a WS title on All Star) or through buying them with exchanged cards.

If you don't feel like grinding for one, it only costs about 30K to just buy a FOTF player by buying 74 bronzes....
Less than that if you have that team's collection.. -

Well, it probably is easy for them but for the rest of us it is a big middle finger and SDS hampering the ability for those of us who are not great to earn rewards.
At least with normal Moments we could pick and choose which ones we wanted to play and still get a small rewards for completing them. At least with normal moments all it cost us was patience and a little perseverance.
This year, Showdown is all or nothing. Player programs are all or nothing since you essentially have to finish all missions and complete one more step before you earn those 20 points.
They said that they listened to the fans who did not like the all or nothing nature of March to October and fixed that mode and then essentially add two more all or nothing aspects to the game.

I've beat showdown pretty consistently and have never made WS. If you're patient and get good swings on the ball it's not that hard.

You kinda answered you're own problem with your response. They allow you to do PART of MTO and earn points towards TA. Just grind that out on a lower difficulty and you'll get points.
I'm not a great hitter by any stretch and I beat Cole in the AL East. It took me 4 tries, but I did it. I also finished the starter and first inning showdowns on one try each. They weren't hard if you wait for hangers. You'll get lots of them and with the right perks and strategy, it's easy.
Here's one strategy to try and probably some things everyone says. Only draft one silver starter and reliever each IF they're your only option and you want to play every mission. Look for specific perks and take advantage of them. The two that can help the most if you aren't a great hitter are the Lifeline and Snake Bit (I think) perks. Lifeline gives you a contact boost when runners are in scoring position and the higher it is, silver, gold, diamond, the more it works. Meaning silver may only give a little boost with RISP and you have 2 outs, while diamond gives you a boost whenever runners are on base or in scoring position, I can't remember which. If you have that equipped never score a runner from second or third on a hit UNLESS you can get another runner to advance to second or third. That allows maximum use of that perk on each AB. Snake bit is great because it causes the CPU to have more errors. If you can advance on a bad throw or get on base when you should be out, you get more AB.
Instead of thinking about how challenging it is or that it's not possible, look at the perks and cards you pick carefully. Have a speedster on your bench so yo can pinch run for the last run you need to score. These can be done by any level of player, but for the bosses especially, you have to work the counts, look for meatball pitches, and take advantage of the perks, otherwise you're swimming upstream.

I have 2 and only tired for 1 of them - I got Gleyber just by playing the game (ranked and events mainly) and because I had 4 Yankees usually in my lineup I racked up innings. I got Olsen by completing MTO on All-Star using the A's, I did this cuz i couldn't beat showdown after about 10 attempts and realized it ani't happening. BTW hitting on all-star in MTO feels much more like day 1 hitting to me - it was kinda nice to feel rewarded hitting the ball again...
-
I have 2 right now-Gleyber From doing MTO and Olson from Showdowns. Should have at least 3 more by the end of the weekend though. Turner from the dodgers MTO, and Gallo amd Seager from showdowns
-
yeah AL West is pretty doable, cant speak for the other ones. You just have to be patient and swing at good pitches. I did it twice last night. Get one decent relief pitcher and load up with good hitters. And then you can just exchange for the last 10 points or load up your team with players from whichever affinity you are doing and accumulate the innings. I did it for Ohtani but Im sure the Gallo card is great too
-
Long term goal: I'm going for the team collector banner. So far I think I have 7/8 done.
