If you can't beat 'em, join 'em...

I've always used contact swing when down 0-2 or 0-1. This year I've hit probably 4 or 5 bombs in those situations and using contact.
Nothing wrong with it as far as I'm concerned.

Did you miss the part where he was doing it every swing, and then hit multiple homeruns in one game?
EDIT
No intention to flame the OP.

You either die a Hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain .

I must've missed it because I didn't even read what he wrote. Chalked it up to another post about contact swing.
Bottom line is it's part of the game. There are other elements of this game that need attention before contact swing. High sinkers come to mind. Contact swing is needed in this pitching environment.

Side note: if you are assuming its a contact swing by the size of the pci feedback I believe there is a bug that is showing your opponents pci feedback enlarged in the first inning only. With all the talk of contact swinging this year I have kept an eye on the feedback and thought I was running into nothing but contact swingers based on the first inning results. Then it seemed like they all were changing to normal swings for the rest of the game. Then I saw a post about it and it seems to be the case. Not saying you didnt run into a contact swinger or its not a problem but if you are paying attention to the feedback in the first inning and then assume you are playing one of these players it may just be a bug giving bad feedback.

No offense taken at all. I just wanted to see what would happen if I contact swung every time.

Got it. Makes sense. I still just thought I'd try it, and I was killing everything using contact vs. regular.

I agree and I think its a problem and your results prove that. I just know for me I thought for a while that I was playing people who constantly switched in the second inning and I couldnt figure out what was going on.

Contact swings that produce no doubt HRs and exit velocities the same as normal or power swings is not needed.

It’s depressing that people can’t comprehend this

The whole game is filled with contact swing warriors. Those who use it are just cheese ballers who found another way to help them get an advantage. It's really sad sds won't address the issue and just pretends the game is fine. Hopefully next year these players won't be rewarded for their cheese.
