If anything, I feel extra motivation instead of intimidation. No better feeling than making a streamer rage quit the game and his stream, I speak from experience.

I had a guy break his controller on video and send me the screen cap of the controller after a custom league game once. Funny as heck.

There can’t be a better feeling then you making them do that over a video game. There was a popular streamer not that long ago that went off their rocker after losing a game slamming their controller and throwing a temper tantrum like a child because he lost a game.

I played CollegeLefty. The only player I recognized from youtubes. Was never more into a game. He destroyed me but I learned quite a bit from how he set me up. The only other guy I would want to play is Ransom (dude with the hats) but he could beat my diamonds with commons.

Ransom and lefty both seem like good guys that don't talk down to their audience or whine and cry when something doesn't go their way. Basement dwellers like mcgunski, koogs, shelfy, fuzzy, rebel and that complete and utter garbage human being yourfriendkyle are just so ridiculous to watch. I have no idea why they have so many followers. I really enjoyed rebels meltdown, that was hilarious until he trimmed his video and deleted that part. I'd love to watch it again.

I'll admit, I haven't watched much of any of those guys for quite some time so things may be different now but I always check out lefty and ransoms vids.

To me, there’s two types of streamers, the ones streaming competitive gameplay and ones that stream how to gimmick the game.

Over the years I’ve faced both types, the gameplay streamers are usually legit and play really smart and competitively, some do use gameplay exploits, but no more than the average player.

The gimmick streamers are usually garbage players. I played one about a month ago, not sure how “light” he is, but was pretty thin “skinned” since he quit after going down 3 in the second inning.

Unfortunately, I think there’s more exploit streamers being added to the community daily. Hopefully with some of the recent changes, these guys will become more irrelevant.

Streaming has absolutely nothing to do with being competitive, being extremely good at a game is definitely a fast lane to being a streamer, but top streamers in terms of awards or numbers have never really been the best at the game they play.

Maybe ninja for a very short time, but he was pub stomping, when competitive fortnite came out his top spot as far as skill was taken quickly. Some of the guys who took it got big, but streamers who outlast games popularity are never the best of the best. They are just entertaining to people.

Goldy used to pull in more numbers than the entire MLB the show community currently gets, he never even played DD, he played RTTS, you sound like you have no clue what you’re talking about tbh.

You missed one but they will remain nameless as they are one of SDS main schrills but it's not hard to figure out which neck bread I am speaking of.

I will say of the ones you name Shelfy I will argue has some vakue as he does do a yearly stream for St Judes and raises a good amount for charity so at least be is using his following for good.

Your take on YFK is right in he embodies everything wrong with this community and playerbase.

I was surprised to see that CBrev is now making that typical shocked face to advertise his videos now.

Don't know CBrev but this. Know if you make a shocked face you shouldn't be on youtube.

There is only one excuse for having a shocked face on a site that starts with You and yours ain't it. Thankfully.

I follow him on Twitter and a few months ago he said he was gonna do it because it gets more followers. The truth is, all these guys named above as bad dudes are that way because that’s what rallies their fanbases and puts money in their pockets.

I’ve personally wanted to stream, but from a different standpoint. I try to attack the game knowledgeably and help the community (I’ve made apps, a twitch extension, a discord extension) and generally try to help people in the forum, and when I’ve reached out to these top streamers to offer this stuff it always goes on deaf ears. They’re not here for the community, they’re here for themselves. I feel like even with the reactions CBrev still embodies that style and so I do find him the most respectable for the bunch.

The two streamers I’ve played in recent months I’ve beaten pretty good (BR, 3-0 and 5-0) and both of them spent the first two innings chirping me and the last inning saying “should we quit and switch to war zone, etc etc”

If they actually cared, they’d be in these forums helping people, answering questions, trying to help their opponents improve. But they’re not. That’s shown me everything I need to know.

And they are more prone to rage quit then anyone I notice. It isn't good for their content I guess.

I have to admit, I watched it and didn't think it was anything special. Out of all the videos I have seen from him and Kyle that just seemed normal for those guys. But hey, if we are watching and talking about it they are doing something right lol.

I only watch one streamer- JJdaggas. Dude is totally clueless, swings at everything and complains that his opponents are “center swinging”. This dude couldn’t hit the broad side of a barn but acts like he deserves to win every game. It’s the best channel on twitch. Pure comedy at all times even though he doesn’t realize it.
