If there is a 1/10 chance of getting a diamond, then there is a 90% chance of failing. To fail 10 times in row would be 0.9^10 = 0.35.
So, there is a 35% chance of not getting a diamond and a 65% chance of getting 1 or more.

The probability of pulling a diamond is not affected by your previous pack outcomes.

That's not how odds work
It's 1 in 50, but that doesn't mean one out of every 50 packs you open, it's over the whole community
I could open 2 packs and get 2 diamonds, you could open 98 packs and get nothing, the odds still come out to 1 in 50
I got one 4 packs in a row once last year or the year before. It was magical. Nothing good, but was still wildly exciting

I understand odds, just not these odds apparently- nhl does a much better job with there odds representation.

Odds are not guarantees.
Flipping a coin is a 1:2 chance of coming up heads but that does not mean that if I flip twice I am guaranteed to get heads. I could get 10 tails in a row.
Also, there is way to much scrutiny on these types of game and in game purchases for them to bother lying about pack odds. It could get them in serious trouble especially in other countries.

Look at it this way, for every single pack you open you have a 2% chance to pull a diamond.

I needed cal ripkin Jr 42 series card to complete my 42 series as I had 3 of them left to get my 99 jackie....ripkin went up to 95k stubbs where as a few days before eit was half of that at least...didn't know what was going on, I bought it, the next day it was back down to 30k stubbs again....I was like what in the flying f....this game has always been a rip off. The cost of game itself isn't enough for them

Yes but if you flip it enough times, your percentage of heads and tails is going to be close to 50/50.

Yes but if you flip it enough times, your percentage of heads and tails is going to be close to 50/50.
So at what point is a large enough sample size for pack opening odds? You are looking at tens of thousands.

The odds are better of pulling a diamond then the Earth being flat. I think you should buy more bundles.

Yea learned this the hardway which is weird they'd run you and me amongst many others I'm sure away from spending money it's a really bad approach bcuz now we are spending zero dollars on their game when in reality if the odds were true or better they'd pull in more money from me and others now my team Is set and I know packs are empty so I'll just play for free phuc it

This entire post is comical. I play blackjack at casinos as a hobby. I may lose 10 hands in a row, but understanding the math, and knowing how to play the game, I have no problems playing until things even out.
On the inverse, if I win 10 in a row, I go home. The math always ends up being right with odds my friend, you're just playing with a VERY small sample size.
