I noticed this on RTTS as well as DD.
When you hit a no doubter you’ll find the pci placement is pretty bad. Just early and the ball is normally around the outer ring of the pci. Again this is for no doubts.
I’ve hit p/p HrS but don’t recall them being no doubters.
Too many times I’ve hit good timing and good placement and it goes no where.
Hitting is kinda broken. But I am used to it now.

Yeah someone just hit a 2 ft high fastball out of the park with contact swing on me in BR.
BR is so bad it makes me sick. Only people that play it are twitch streamers and their idiot fans that love contact swinging on balls coming in slower than F.
And me but I'll take no offense.
Yup besides the handful of normal people.

So this season of BR seems worse at least to me. It’s pretty obvious when people are using contact swing and it pisses me off - mainly because I’m reluctant to do it / exploit it. Seems like majority of my opponents thus far are doing it….

Yeah someone just hit a 2 ft high fastball out of the park with contact swing on me in BR.
I think that is by FAR my biggest issue with this game. The server issues sucked yeah, but it's gotten better.
This is just plain stupid. Balls should not be getting jacked out 400+ feet on mediocre PCI placement and on CONTACT swings.
Just imagine how many BR runs and Ranked games have been ruined by this ?
I necessarily don’t mind it as much if they use it on 2 strikes to stay alive but it’s being used on every swing now and you can’t even throw a ball in the dirt for a strike out any more.
Yeah. It's almost impossible to K someone now. They can just mash circle and foul 15 pitches and then get one they time up and it's gone
Unless your on 700+ then it's a little better. but it still happens.
Does the difficulty change to HOF as you progress? I’ve always suspected that it does, but wasn’t sure.
In ranked it does when you play at 700+ it goes to Hall of Fame. 900+ is legend.
BR is always All star hell

Just out of curiosity.. Who hit them?
Buxton off of Glavine. Which ok sure, he has 100 Contact and 90 PWR Vs. Lefties. But to hit bombs like that with a contact swing and not even square it up is just ridiculous.
And we weren't at shippet or Coors or any other homer dome.

It's just simply stupid how much this is happening and SDS can't do a thing about it, because it's obvious they either can't figure out the issue, or they simply don't think it's a problem. If it's the new norm, they should at least let us know.
I'm thinking it can't be a coincidence that it is happening with first year cross - gen play.
Gotta keep those new players engaged by letting them drop bombs so they'll keep on playing / spending stubs for that one card that would just take their game over the top and they'll be the best player in MLB the Show history.

I think I might just try contact swinging all day when playing ranked and BR and do a little experiment.

I guess and maybe I’ll do the same. Yesterday the Silver Eric Davis with 77 power but only 27 contact off lefties took me deep off the batters eye at Shippett on a well located painted outside fastball. That [censored] kind of put me over the edge as that card even with contact swinging should have a tiny PCI against Bummer yet the circle encompassed liked a third of the zone. If he has 27 contact does using contact swing quadruple that rating as otherwise I can’t explain the size of the PCI he got…..

the biggest issue is the velocity stays the same as normal. Power and velocity should be vastly dropped when u choose contact. at that point it might still be annoying playing against someone spamming it but at least their chances of beating you with it are decreased.

Agree. I have less of an issue with the fouloffs since that’s kind of the point with trying to just make contact. But it should be HUGE penalty to power and exit velo. Not sure why they is hard to program….

Sometimes deeper into BR runs it feels like it’s on HOF, but it’s probably just connection.

I wrote a post about this and people said I sucked. But I am 32-9 with 3 loses due to server and 3 because i lost fair and square but the other 3 almost made me break a controller. HR with sliders that almost hit them and contact swing saved them. It needs to decrease a little bit. I use it with 2 strikes in clutch situations. But all the time and so many foul balls wow.
