Likely no shot for two

Anytime the "announcers" (and I use that term loosely) regurgitate this little gem for the umpteenth time, it's gonna be a double play. And, typically, not even close.
Guess the "little things" like this just completely confound the programming staff. Or, again, QA, or whoever lets this stuff out the door.

Due to how bad the play by play is I just don’t listen to it. It should be addressed but I’m pretty sure it’s low on totem pole.

But, dude, why is the play-by-play so bad after all these years?
I mean some things are somewhat forgivable due to complexity and what not.
But why can't they assign the audio to some project manager that gives a [censored] and is focused only on making it the best audio it can be. All it takes is creating a lot more audio, and audio that actually is relevant with what's going on in the game. Keep a counter of how many times a particular snippet has been looped and hibernate it. I dunno, but I would think a company selling millions of copies of a game could figure it out with R&D from all the profits.
I'm sure I'm not the first one to mention this. It's probably been a topic of irate customers on these forums for a decade or more.

The play by play wasn’t that bad the first time I heard it, 5 versions of the game ago.
Aside from the repetitiveness of it, most of the time what they’re saying isn’t relevant to the situation, isn’t remotely true, or they drone on about a particular batter even though he’s long since finished his AB.
What really annoys me is Matty V will say something and Plesac or Derosa will add their color which is more or less repeating what Matty said.

If the rare 3-2 change up was thrown as many times as he mentions it then it would be the most common 3-2 pitch in the world.

If batters were walked at HALF the frequency of the base open,pitch around,wonder If they ll even pitch to him comments,there would be 20 walks a game.

I turn it off first day every year, but sometimes there's a great gem before I do so. This year, it went like this in the very first game:
1st batter
1st pitch
Foul ball down 1st Base lineDan: "This pitcher has had the other team's number the entire game."
To be fair, it was accurate.

Honestly the announcing has just gotten worse over the years. "How much for one of those ribs" cringe.
