Shouldn’t be in the game. If you want to take a power swing for a exit velo boost and shink your pci to the size of the baseball so be it. If you want to make your pci the size of the strike zone so you can flail about and foul off pitches early, late, in the dirt, 3 feet above your head without moving your pci maybe go play conquest on rookie.

Contact swing should be used to avoid striking out and putting the ball in play not hitting 460 foot moonshots over the scoreboard with a hitter that has power in the 70s or 80s. If that's what contact swing can do then why ever use normal swing? If you get the same results as far as contact and exit velocity, why make your pci smaller using normal swing? Contact swing is a joke. Even these YouTube turds are abusing it saying there's no reason not to use it. On all star the outer pci is bigger than the strike zone quite often. Its the reason balls nowhere near the middle pci are tipped off. Its almost impossible to strike out in all star using contact swing unless you are new to the game.
The first sentence is exactly what these goobers on here need to understand. Clowns like bwheel think "contact" is hitting the ball in any way. Contact swings are for the batter protecting themself in the at bat when they are behind in the count. Michael Brantley is one of if not the best contact hitter in baseball. Like 75% of his hits are singles. That's what a contact swing is. I lol at guys like Bwheel on here who are just clearly not baseball players and just video gamers.

Well once the game’s “random number generator” decides it’s your turn to lose an online game then your opponent will win regardless of the hitting mode they’re using…
If it’s not a bomb then it will be a “very late” swing that ends up going right pass a diamond fielder and/or some other ridiculous type of outcome which has nothing to do with user input of either player…meanwhile SDS continues to justify using the same flawed RNG code year after year despite all the (negative) feedback users give them right here in their own forum

️It may not be 3x as large, but it’s a heck of a lot bigger than a quarter larger. You need to refer back to math and area of a circle if you can’t see the difference. It’s approximately 2X as big. Maybe someone else on here has the time and willingness to do an exact measurement. That’s assuming the pictures are the exact same size as well, otherwise it will be extremely difficult.

I actually managed to find the time to do the math, and it’s 1.75x larger than normal, which is significant.
The real issue isn’t the size of the contact circle though, it’s the exit velocity that is allowed for the swing type. They really need to cut the power in the swing to roughly about 50% or so of a normal swing, which is where it should be.

Make contact swing efficiency on normal and vice versa. Normal doesn’t feel rewarding at all. I only use contact on 2-strike counts, even if my opponent uses it all the time; but if he takes the lead with that garbage, all bets are off until I tie it again.

If we are being honest with ourselves there shouldn’t be more than one swing. I get the idea and it fits well into the video game mold because of the various cards but if it can’t be executed properly then let’s just simplify it for the sake of everyones sanity lol. At the end of the day a players swing is a player swing. They aren’t going to change it drastically to make contact because they shouldn’t have to. If they couldn’t hit the ball they wouldn’t be in the MLB or let alone be a legend. I understand people can choke up on the bat and mentally tell themselves I’m going to have a shorter/quicker swing but at the end of the day that swing will be almost identical to their normal swing they will just a different approach mentally. Everyone has different exit velocities because everyone is built different, have different launch angles, etc. They just need to find a way to tie exit velocities into PCI placement and overall statistics of the card. How they do that I don’t know because I am a big dumbo but I can’t imagine it hurting the game at this point.

Lmao math isn't your strong suit... To be 3x as big the PCI would need to go from 1/3 the size of the strike zone to the full strike zone (horizontally) ... This PCI is going from about 2/3 or 3/4 to the full size (horizontally).
And Jesus look how big that PCI is, are you on veteran????

WHAT? Have you ever played baseball in your life? Do you have any concept of protecting with two strikes or slapping oppo on a hit and run? Guys change their approach all the time.

Im an X,X,O player - the O being on 2 strikes - in this game hovered around the 450-600 range, win 3, lose 3
I went to contact exclusive and wow. Ive won about 9/10 i nearly made 700 but the only game i lost was to someone who got to 900+ in the final game of ranked for the season.
It is broken, but in a way, its more fun to hit bombs and doubles, than it is to constantly roll over pitches for soft outs.

You know that [censored] is broken when you hit HRs with pitchers using contact swing. I’ve done it like 4 times cause I always use contact with them.
