Played one game after I made World Series to test out Vida Blue and he had Edward Cabrera. The guy was like 81-5 I think.
We both had 12 hits I believe, but he ended up hitting like six home runs and I actually scored zero. Had the bases loaded three times and put great swings on some pitches. One I even guessed slider away and made a perfect power swing and lined out to right.
Something about the way the ball was coming off the bat when he made contact didn’t seem right.
There is too much variance in this game to be 81-5.
The point of my post is that I’m almost certain there is some kind of cheating going on. I’ve never seen a zen and didn’t comprehend what it was….so I did some research. They are back ordered three months they are so popular and it is literally a little box you plug your controller into that modifies the input from the controller to the system.
For MLB on YouTube some kid demonstrated the Zen program for hitting on MLB and it basically seems to help square the pci for perfect pci placement.
Seems very plausible to me that a lot of people on top of the leaderboard are using it. They wouldn’t even show up on their streams as using it. It would just be a normal controller. With the rewards selling for so much right after dropping people are for sure cheating.
You know them games you can turn on 100 like they are throwing 80 and everything looks like a beach ball? You don't get to 81-5 without pretty much every game being like that. What I call "magic internet."
I was thinking that too….maybe those gaming routers do the trick?

Makes a lot of sense….I remember playing halo back in the day and playing swat. Some games it was like butter getting 50 kills and the next game you would get smoked before you pulled the trigger.
I’m guessing it’s the same issue. SDS is a solid 15 years behind in server technology.

How to get a static IP address….google that. Says you can purchase a static IP address from your ISP and that is the difference. You purchase it per device.

You are just not that good. But here are some tips to help you: Get a monitor with a high refresh rate and low input lag, hardwire your system and have good internet, play in performance mode also practice. Good luck
Performance mode?

Omg it takes a few innings to figure a pitcher out what in the name of baseball is going on
Well, when fastballs are 120 mph and you can't catch up to them you have to sell out. Best way to do this is to have an idea of where they like to pitch.
Check this out catdaddy taking an inning or 2 to figure out some good pitching is 100% normal Irl and in this game sometimes you start hot sometimes you don't sometimes you're completely shutdown idk why yall think you're supposed to be in a 13-1 or 8-9 ballgames full of deepshots BTW nobody's ever seen a 120mph ball irl or the game foh

You don't want to purchase a static ip from your isp.
There are public and private ip addresses. Public is the one you get from your isp. Private is what you use for your home network like 192.168.x.x. In your router, you should be able to assign a static ip to your console. Assigning a static ip to your console is necessary if you are going to do port forwarding, etc.

I was searching the subject and it was mentioned. Probably talking out of my [censored].
You have any ideas in regards to how people are able to get the good “home” connection a majority of the time.

I went back through my router and had a setting messed up. I doubt that it was what is messing up my game but I'll check it tonight. Actually hope so but not optimistic since it was working good last Friday and finished a 12-1 BR run for Trout. Only had 2 good days in the last few weeks.
Have one other thing I could try.If I knew how people are getting 100 to look like beach balls, I would do it. All I can do is try to optimize my network with good cables, wired and correct router settings.

What internet speeds are you paying for? I pay for a gig, but my PS5 can only generate 350-400 down/ 30-40 up. Which isn't too bad with 10 other devices linked to the router.

That’s interesting. It would be nice to know if having a static up address would help. How could having a dynamic ip address impact gameplay?

There are times when I play that I certainly feel like I can’t catch up to a fastball…and certainly feel like sometimes I have to start my swing when it is leaving the pitchers hand.
-
For those that haven't experienced it, you have to swing as the ball is leaving the pitcher's hand otherwise the ball is in the catcher's glove before your swing animation happens. It's literally that bad at times.

Yeah dude I get your complaints but don’t discredit your opinion by saying stuff like coast players have better connections and streamers see everything slower. We all deal with what you’re experiencing. No need to exaggerate or say you’re at a disadvantage compared to others.
I thing what he’s referring to about ping has a lot of merit. And I do think people are having different experiences with this game. Do most of the games you play run smoothly, or are most of them where the pitches seem like they’re going 200 mph?
For the most part my games have been fairly smooth but I have definitely experienced games with warping pitches that look like they’re 200mph out of the hand. Combine that with someone who’s pitching very quickly and it is pretty hard to be successful.
So imagine someone’s frustration if their experience is the adverse or yours where they are seeing ungodly pitch speeds on a regular basis, and the games that run smoothly are few and far between. How would you feel about adding a ping indicator or being able to set some sort of ping threshold for matchmaking purposes?
I’m all for it. I don’t have anything against what OP says on a regular basis. He has valid complaints which I’ve seen myself in the game. I just think he would be taken more seriously if it wasn’t always some conspiracy that streamers get more time to react than he does or that coast players have an advantage. The victim role isn’t going to get you anywhere in life.
Not just streamers. Look at the highest rated people. Ton of people with names from east and west coast. Yes, coast are more populated but also more people sharing wifi. There isn't a chance in hell anyone is hitting .400 on legend/HOF seeing the speeds I am constantly seeing. No big deal. I'll just continue to play PUBG when squad is on. I'll pick up Battlefield when that comes out.
I can't wait for the new battlefield!!
I agree with what you are saying.
Honestly this is the one thing that keeps me from fully investing into this game. Everything else is great or acceptable. But so many games I will swing as soon as I can half a$$ed pick up where the location might be and I'm still way late on 97, on Allstars no less. I always play hall of fame vs the cpu with no problem. I have 500mbps connection speed and have no problems on any other game I play online. Wired connection, ps5, TV is capable of 60fps which is what mlbts runs on. Still can't see fastballs most games.
I wish everyone could experience what we are talking about so maybe this could gain some traction.
-
100 percent agree. No way guys with good records get the pitch speeds we play with more than 50 percent of my games. It's ridiculous to deal with this for years. These servers are str8 trash. So bad had to turn off cross play. Most xbox users I play against I'm wayy late on whatever they throw, the game sucks online and its a shame. Imagine being on All star sitting fastball up and in and swinging as soon as ball is released from hand and it blows by you!!!!!! Yes I said on All Star

I really think it's a regional thing. I don't think @D_e_m_I_s_E_PSN Is out of line to suggest people on the coasts get better connections than people in Central usa.
-
Very well could be a Coast thing
-
Everyone says that you can't tell the speed when watching a stream. I have watched plenty of movie gaming streams and seen PLENTY of times his pitch speeds when batting looked warped. Rarely see it with other legend players.
-
Well, we all experience this. I struck out 17 times on HOF. Late on 95mph sinker and hitting with a newspaper. A lot of weak contact.

I do believe that but I also believe some people deal with it A LOT more than others. At some point, someone at SDS needs to ask why?
