PCI size

So I thought PCI size was based on the vision attribute. Now, my veteran Cano card has 83 vision and it was tiny in that last game vs cpu for Kerry Wood facing a bronze lefty reliever.
I checked it and yes, Cano’s contact vs left is way lower.
Since when did the contact attribute have such a big effect on the PCI?

Since always my man. Contact and vision go hand in hand. RHC only affects your pci vs RHP, same with LHP, but Vision sets the base value for both.

There are two PCIs, the outer pci is based off vision as it is "where the batter is looking for a pitch". The inner pci is based off contact as it is "where the bat is".
At least that's what I gathered from the streams...

Interesting. I have yet to see the outer pci have any effect...
