Benefits of turning Cross Play off

I’ve had no issues with xbox players connections myself; maybe I’m just lucky or live in a region where p2p connections are closer

I turned off crossplay because way too often, when I put a ball in play, it didn’t show the correct outcome. It would look like the ball got past a fielder, but then I’d be out.

I have it on and I don't notice a difference. Can have good or bad connection against both consoles.

I just turned it off after back to back games against Xbox players, couldn’t hit for [censored] because the timing was very weird. This only happened today against xbox players. I think SDS have to work on this

Will turning it off stop these dumb freeze offs?? I've had 5 today...of course BR only. I think the mini games (Events/BR) are the only thing affected by it. But c'mon! How am I supposed to go 12-0 if every other game freezes off...lol and I'm not gonna sit there for hours waiting either. I'll just take the L

Rocket League managed to cross play against all platforms possible pretty much. With no lag and fast fast gameplay.
Yet we can’t seem to have a baseball game without lag.
Amazing.

Playing on PS5, I've had ZERO issues against Xbox players from a connection, lag, latency perspective.
I also have a PS4 and XBox One S in the house. Haven't played enough online with those 2 consoles to comment.

I'm not playing a 7 year veteran when I just was able to get game 2 months ago...this is why I dont not play crossplay. In cod I do play crossplay because I've played cod for 12 years

I turned it off also. I don't trust playing online against a diff system. Besides the majority of the player base already had PS to play this game so.

Why? OP asked for performance improvements of games by turning off cross play. Having 3 different devices using the game is a lot more relevant than anything you have typed in this thread.

PS5- No issues with cross play
PS4- No issues with cross play (small sample size)
