Kerry Wood done in <2hrs...now what??

You also have to remember they are probably running on bare minimum staffing.
Covid19 will effect content whether you want it to or not.
-
These are the types of posts that make them jack up the difficulty and pretty soon you have a bunch of moments that feel more like work.

Without real baseball going on, SDS is going to have to do a better job coming up with more content to keep us busy. More moments, missions, this day in history e.t.c.
The latest player program Kerry Wood took less than 2hrs... 6 missions or so and then a 9 inning game vs the Cubs.
Pick up the pace SDS. We're going to need more substance without real life baseball.
LOL Are you serious? If anything, they should focus on improving the obvious flaws related to online gameplay, which I'm hoping that they're currently in the process of doing. IMO, content and substance shouldn't even be on the radar as far as priorities are concerned.

The main problem with your theory though is that the content team are probably not in the slightest bit responsible for any game play changes. So the offline players should suffer and a part of their staff should just sit on their hands waiting for the game play team to fix online play?

I just wish they'd release stage 2 affinity programs

The main problem with your theory is that you don't even know the infrastructure of SDS and who is responsible for what. You don't know if they even have a designated 'content team.' Even if they did, you don't know if their 'content team' are the same people responsible for online gameplay. So....

I don't think the virus has to do with anything. They likely had all of this year's content planned months ago. The content team probably knows who each of the inning bosses will be this year, which player programs are going to be released when, etc, and all the moments are already programmed into a dev kit. They don't just randomly start working this on a thursday to have it ready for release on Friday.

Or you know. Just play the [censored] game.
The f word isn’t censored?
-
Lmao I’m still working on the 1st Inning Showdown. The final one is killing me...

I for one would much rather have programs to work and grind for cards as opposed to putting two new cards a week in packs. I guess I'd like to play for cards rather than buy them.

Dude, they've censored many posts of mine with the f word and it hadn't changed. I figured it would censor it automatically like it does with many others. But whatever.

I dont get why people say the shutdowns will shutdown SDS. most of their work involves using a computer on a specialized server which im 99% sure can be remotely accessed from anywhere.
This is Sony we are taking about if they dont have this kind of technology then I would be concerned.

Exactly what I was thinking. Never had to work so little for a decent card. I'm def not going to whine and complain about THAT

That and video conferencing to talk about changes they want to make, communication tools like Slack or Confluence would be used exactly for this!

Im not gonna sit here and act like this amount of content isn’t enough if the virus outbreak didn’t happen.
But it did so they need to step it up with the patches at least

The one thing that stood out for me about this was how comparatively easy the 9 inning game on All Star was.
The showdown challenges on veteran seemed WAY more difficult.
