Ranked at HOF is not really that fun…

I always wondered if connection to opponent has anything to do with how well u see the ball. Last game i won 10-5 an it felt like the ball wasnt going 200mph. Game before that i was no hit granted that was legend but typically on hof i maybe score once or twice an have 100 to late swings. Idk how else to explain it

HOF is the max any normal person should play. Legend should be spared for those who consider themselves elite and/or want to play high level comp tourneys. You have to either be a cyborg or play the game 8 hours a day to excel on legend.

Really they just need to add a third tier of HOF. Sucks it’s a lot of players favorite divisions but after you win 7 games you have to start worrying about playing on legend… which the game to me isn’t fun on legend.
Starting to not be fun on HOF. Pitch speeds are warping again like in previous years. I can go into custom practice against Goose on legend and turn on 100 all day. Get blown away on HOF by 95. Not sure what happened but the warp speeds only happened like a dozen or so times before last weekend. Been happening all week. Feel like every game is against Chapman on roids.
Played a guy yesterday with a terrible connection. Lagging everywhere. He finally got disconnected. How on earth do I get matched up with these people? SDS' match making is awful. Face a ton of east coast players too if they are from where there name states. Are there not any players closer than NY for me to play from KC? How is this good match making? Is this supposed to be a good experience?
How can a person that played pro ball not be able to react to pitches on HOF and get blown away with 95? Yet someone that played low level D1 on the east coast can turn on 99 sinkers on legend. Must be fun to play this game on the east coast.

I do feel like HOF is much harder this year than past years. Idk if this is because of pin point but my biggest gripe with it is not feeling like my good swings good rewarded. The timing window also seems a lot less forgiving this year than in the past it also feels very inconsistent. Over my past few games I’ve had JE/JL timing with very good PCI placement and I slap/pull balls foul, which is fine sometimes based on where the ball is in the zone. But I should never be pulling a ball foul that’s outside with JE timing. @D_e_m_I_s_E_PSN

Yeah I agree! I played a couple games on HOF yesterday after being on AS most of this month. Such a big adjustment from one to the other. Its ridiculous RS should all be the same difficulty. HOF FOR ALL!

This will never happen. That would alienate way too many people. I made 974 last season and now I can't make contact on HOF or legend. Pitches look like they are 120. If you sell out for that and swing as soon as it leaves the pitchers hand you look like an idiot. The lag when swinging at pitches is way worse the last week.
If this is happening to me imagine 4-500 rated players trying to hit HOF. There wouldn't be many people playing this game. Has to be something on SDS end. Wonder if there is any correlation with these trash servers. Game getting frustrating this last week. I play to have fun. Ball instantly going from pitcher's hand to glove is not fun. May have to jump back on PUBG. I have tried rebooting router, wired, wireless. Something changed in the last week to make this game miserable. Game is doing the exact same thing it has been doing for 4 years recently. Nice while it lasted.

I just know my current rank will have me somewhere between HOF and legend difficulty my next game and honestly I have been more comfortable on legend since I know I can't hit instead of just slightly missing on HOF and finding myself with 2 hits in 9 innings

Completely agree!

I believe someone said it earlier but I feel like the best solution would be to keep pitch speeds the same across all divisions but decrease the size of the PCI as you go up in rank.

Then you’d have scrubs complaining it’s too fast and the good players complaining it’s too slow. HOF is way too easy for players that are playing on legend consistently

That card is fk nuts bro. Worst pitcher to face. Faced Oswalt for the first time on HOF last night and I couldn’t touch him.
As a Cabrera user, I will admit that he is completely unfair. I have yet to let up a run with him in 37.1 innings (4 CGSO), only 6 hits, 0 walks and 54 Ks. His sinker is nearly unhittable on HoF, not quite to Legend but hopefully I am riding on the back of him and Oswalt to WS.

I don't agree that there should be one difficulty but I believe there should be 1, maybe 2 pitch speeds for all difficulties and that only the PCI (and maybe timing window) be the biggest differentiator between difficulties.

He’s rocking almost a 14 era for me on legend in 3 games with an 0-3 record so he was quickly tossed in the trash

I am assuming you are using pinpoint. I rely heavy on sinker on the hands + fastball/changeup down and in to righties and sinkers/fastballs/changeups middle away/down away + curve down and in to lefties. His PP timing is so easy for me compared to other pitchers so I am 93+ accuracy with green or blue finish on almost every pitch. I am anxious to see how he is on legend, I am assuming I will be seeing it soon as I am around 830+ right now and will be matching with some WS players. Will report back when I do.

HOF is the best difficulty to play on, just because you can't catch up to pitches and get your pci on the ball doesn't mean it's not fun you just have to play it more that's all. not trying to be a [censored] or anything but once you get the hang of HOF is extremely fun

You’re outnumbered bro. For every person that says HOF is great, there are ten that say it sucks!! I’ve played numerous games on HOF and have won a few! None of them were any fun at all even the games I won!! I, and many others, play this game cuz we love baseball and wanna have fun. I’m 46 years old. This is the ONLY game I own. I don’t have lightning quick reflexes. I have NO DESIRE to put in the kind of time it would take for me to really good on HOF. Screw that!!!

Everyone just thinks that they should score 5-10 runs a game because of how they did in AS and lower. I feel like HoF is about as close to a real baseball simulation as it can be. The pitchers in The Show currently (Oswalt, Cabrera, Glavine, Maddox, etc) are equivalent to real life deGrom with Spider Tack, results wise. The best hitters in baseball are only getting 1 hit every 4-5 ABs vs him over their career. Put all those guys on one team and you'll be lucky to surpass 6-7 hits. Then you add in the lack of plate discipline that a lot of The Show players have and you are looking at 2-4 hits a game on average. So unless they get lucky on a couple, they are getting shut out game after game.
