Why do these not count towards total bases??

Like, I get errors, but c’mon, it’s stealing moments from me.

That's the rules man. Youre going to have to take it up with the MLB rules committee because this isnt a mistake in the game.

You know what is BS though? When the outfielder kind of lazily throws the ball back in or throws it home, and you take second. This should count as a 2B, but it is always a single instead. Makes those 8 TB kind of moments even tougher.

you dont get a base when you advance on a throw home or third. a lazy throw to me wouls constitute and error for allowing ypu to advance.

I guess my point is that Moments are mind-numbing and atrocious to play and I wish you didn't have to grind so many of them.

I mean, maybe don’t throw in the batter’s box. I get trying to get the batter to chase. But man… Losing a moment to a HBP is garbage.

Always go for the extra base, no matter what. On a single, sometimes the throw to 2B is a bit offline and you get your double. Sometimes if you run to 2nd without sliding, he won't tag you; double. On a double, go for 3, same thing.

the worst issue i have noticed with all of these potm cards is that the shift is always on and I have him a million balls perfect but they go directly to the shift

Once I got 2 HRs with Crawford, i'd bunt against the shift for singles. With men on base, swings. It worked.

No one is disputing that HBP in moments suck. They just dont count towards total bases though, as per the definition in the MLB rulebook.

well this is a very simple question, what a HBP or BB doesn't count is every other stat. Those two stats are used exclusively for counting base on balls and hit by pitches. so like they don't count strikeouts for example, we use the strikeout stat for that. all they count is those two things

Yeah moments suck and they mess up your timing for ranked. The problem i have with the total bases moments is the control of the pitcher. They either won't throw strikes or dot. You shouldn't have to wait and foul off a dozen pitches to get one to hit imo.. At least not for busy work...
