First year playing and I have now completed Live Series, Mo and one card away on Series 42. My team is way better than I am. Still think I might have had more fun not completing collections and just buying what I want. However, some of my favorite cards can only come from collections. Everybody says to start with Trout and I get that thinking...but there are more ways to do it. I think starting with Trout is great if you start at launch when everything is expensive...but right now LIVE Series 85-89 are very reasonable and you can really feel like you are making progress by knocking those out as you go. I would suggest picking a division to start with and going about it that way more than anything. As for your question on NL East or AL West...pros and cons to both. I feel like Acuna and Degrom have better chances of increasing in price...but I wouldn't put anything past Trout.

Thanks for the advice, this is the approach I took last year after a flash sale and prices are super low right now, but the last question I have is NL or AL to complete first?

If you’re absolutely going to do the collection -Trout, Yankees, AL, then NL. Soriano isn’t even making most people lineups. Once you get vs decent pitchers Finley is just flailing around blind.

Best cards in the game IMO 1)Chipper 2)Trout 3)Ortiz. As far as lock ins go Posada is one of the best also.

yeah, I don't think I will be touching the NL, as of now I just completed the AL East, just enough left for trout

Yes you can always just try trout out without locking him in. Some people like Tanana tho. I wasn’t a big fan. But after using Trout for 100 ABs you won’t want to get rid of him lol. His swing is so sweet.

yes! His MVP Card last year raked, I think I hit .445 with him, but I also loved the signature ortiz last year aswell, so I am definitely going to push for the AL

Personally I start the collections with the teams with no/ cheap diamonds. In this case it was the Twins to get Puckett, Cubs to get Wood, etc. I guess it depends how much you want a specific reward tho.
