Terrible POTM choices

@x814xMafia_PSN
Yah that's why I'm happy. I sold my golds this morning for around 6k because I was nervous about everyone sinking the market selling after the program dropped. Everything took a big dive, even the diamonds are down -
I'll be getting him for the cards/collection but probably won't use any of these cards.

Sds content team dropped the ball on this one, Winker card is laughable and a slap in the face to Reds fans
Why is his hitting WORSE than LS?

Ok some questions.
Kevin Gausman with a era of 1.27 into June doesn't get a POTM card?
Marcus Stroman with an era of 2.41 into June doesn't get a POTM card?
Alex Reyes with an era of 0.90 into June doesn't get a POTM card? But Corey Kluber with an era of 3.04 gets a POTM card?!!!
Honestly I don't often question these things but WHAT?
THANK YOU....Kluber must have some dirt on these devs lol. I've been saying Reyes for a while. I dont expect his LS to get a diamond, maybe silver. But this man has been one of the more dominant closers this year, walks aside he still gets it done.

I'm just so tired of Kluber, we had him last year in all rotations because his 99 was very easy to get, he was one of the top headliners in 2019, I mean enough already. Give another player a chance SDS.

So before I decided to buy 21 in May, I loaded up a ranked game in MLB20. Faced Kluber at Shippett. It was literally from day 1 to even when MLB21 was out.
-
The decision to put Kluber in is truly mind boggling

Best thing about this program is the 42 pack.
Perfect timing too since I only need one more card for jackie. The other day I thought about just grinding the 70k stubs that I needed so I could get it over with, but instead I decided to buy up all the topps now and monthly rewards cards so I guess I made the right choice. I haven't had time to log in yet, but I'm hoping prices are pretty high on those so I can turn a nice profit.

I thought last year was 'MLB the Kluber' but 21 is making a case.

Yea no Muncy is a bummer. I may be a bit biased because I love his swing but a lefty with power who can play a couple positions would have been sweet.
-
No Austin Riley either?! Hello? He hit .311 with 7 HR, 15 RBI, an OPS over 1.000 and an OPS+ of 139.
But nah, let's get ANOTHER Kluber because ... I don't know, sinkers? -
It’s like they said, “well, we didn’t give Kluber his Topps Now no-hitter card, so we have to do it now.” But I can’t imagine anyone was clamoring for a Kluber no-hitter card to justify it. The choices for most the players seem strange (so many other more deserving choices) and then the attributes don’t seem to match.

This, but also just getting Semien for the future lightning collection

I want to know who sat down, looked at this, and said "yeah this will go over well"
They must have been sitting there like….. “ok guys looks like we have a lefty pitcher meta on our hands. What should we do about it?
“ Oh I know why don’t we make a bunch of left handed batters with low contact for POTM. Boom problem solved”

Honestly I’ve been pleasantly surprised by Semein in a very limited sample size. Personally I think the big problem for May POTM was that the a lot of the best players in May either were superstars they were not going to give a juiced card to at this point in the cycle (Tatis & DeGrom) or had already been featured in April (Muncy).
That said, I do have some quibbles with the card selections and ratings. Kluber was unnecessary, he already had Topps now and that NH was really a single event not a month of dominance (especially as he got hurt immediately after). There are a ton of well performing pitchers who could have had an interesting card either low diamond (like Mize) or high (Gausman).
Finally some of the ratings are pretty questionable: Winker definitely should have had better hitting stats and Semien being 8/8 in SB means his steal rating should be higher (not his speed).
Tl:dr - May wasn’t a great month for SDS to work with, but they kind of botched what they chose to do.

My issue was not with Semien, nor Tepera and Wheeler. But go down the line and read these card descriptiona and stats. Meadows had a great week, Crawford did this in two weeks.
Look at guys like Gausman, Bogaerts, Adolis Garcia, etc. that were much better for the whole month.
