Challenge failed error STILL

So today there was a hotfix towards “matchmaking” i was hopeful to think it would fix my problem. If you haven’t seen recent posts by me, i have not been able to play one online game since release i receive a challenge failed error and then it boots me, i’ve tried multiple times during the day everyday for sometimes a half hour at a time just requeing everytime it fails. Never got in even once, so today the hotfix comes out and i finally think okay i should be able to play online. Load it up ..... nothing ..... still the same error, i’ve reinstalled the game multiple times, even went out and bought a new external HD since my HD is alittle messed up and slow, i’ve opened ports, use googles open DNS, i’ve done everything they have suggested. It’s not my internet because my brother and law and son both have their playstations at my house and both of them have no problem connecting to a game. Can we get this pinned and help get this problem fixed, it only is affecting a handful of people but it’s a huge deal. I don’t know what to do.

Yeah this is crazy, it seems like it only affects a hand full of people. So it’s getting overrun by the “fix hitting” when this problem is a lot worse even for the small amount of people. Does your playstation by any chance have a messed up hard drive? I talked to someone else that has the problem and his HD in his PS is also faulty. So i’m wondering if this is the problem. Even though i bought an external hard drive specifically for MLB

Okay, just making sure. Yeah they did something on the networking side and it’s only affecting a small amount of people. This is crazy

Yeah it is crazy it’s been a week I couldn’t play online

Try wiping the disc clean, blowing off the dust, and then throwing it right in the trash. Because until they fix it, that is where it belongs.

Just my thoughts and from my experience.
I used to get all sorts of disconnect problems for the show 15 and 16. I was on wifi (clearly with firewall issues).
I then bought a powerline which costs about $50 to hardwire my PS4 to my modem through electrical. My PS4 is far away from my modem... Since then I have never had a disconnect issue since, going on 4 years!!Take that for what it is.

Disconnecting isn’t the problem for us. We can’t even join a game
Same thing.. I should have clarified. I couldn't join a game either. Would take 10 tries, but would disconnect anyways.
This solved my issues. Take it or don't....

Are you still experiencing this? I am and I have done everything they have said, like you and nothing has worked. I’ve gotten 7 ranked season games since the game came out, so I know it works, but I get the same two error messages EVERYTIME and I feel crazy. The show support offers no help, I’ve entered the problem as a bug as well to no avail. They’ll gladly take my money for stubs but not fix this, it’s unreal.

Bro I haven’t been able to play DD since launch and it seems only like 5 people in the world are having this problem so they don’t even care about it. Dose anyone have any idea of how to fix this or at least get in contact with the devs

Have you done what others have said previously with your internet settings, (Dns etc.) and have you rebuilt your ps4 database?
If you still have issues delete and reinstall the game (which you most likely have done). I was getting a lot of errors or challenge failed, but then went to Walmart and bought just an external ssd made for PlayStation and just moved my game to that external one and have no issues at all. Worth a shot
