Who's your starting 1B (not named Ortiz)

Thome hits tanks
-
My first baseman likes eating eggs and bacon for breakfast and doesn't like lifting weights.
-
I do not have Ortiz or any of the TA2 players. I play 42 Ruth at 1st in RS.
-
Freddie Freeman parallel 5

Mark Teixeira (CAP) - Absolute stud - 119 power, 116 contact, 102 vision, 81 speed & diamond defense.
Playing your CAP at 1B is such a waste because it's such a deep position where defense doesn't matter at all. But hey if that's your thing, all power to you.
I understand what you’re saying but none of those other 1st basemen are switch hitters & have any kind of speed. I also think defense does matter there. I can’t tell you how many times Ortiz bobbled away an out, dropped a low throw or failed to react quick enough to snag a line drive.
-
I was using Freeman who’s swing is money.
But after the using Gehrig in the HOF event I realized his card seems to play above those attributes and now I have him starting in RS. I loved his card last year, but I just didn’t know this lesser version would be such a beast. -
David Ortiz
-
I am rolling with Edgar Martinez. Seager at third. What can I say, I’m a Mariners fan!
-
I was rolling with Level 5 McCovey but just got Thome who I'm trying out.

Why are you looking for another 1b instead of Papi? If you do care about Def then Olson is your guy. Has pop and defense. Plays like a 95 but has stats of an 85.
I'm honestly not looking for anyone, I don't have Ortiz, just curious what others are using
-
I'm still using 42 Ruth there as a secondary. I need to maybe try Gehrig but the relatively low power numbers are kind of not doing it for me on paper.
Can't really decide on who else to use at the moment.
-
Paralleled Jimmie Foxx ‘the beast’ lol
-
My favorite people in this forum are the ones that criticize the moves that people make and then try to be passive aggressive about it. Especially people who have been on here for a long time.
-
Evo Giambi for me. Was always a favourite player of mine on the Yankees and I have just stuck with him since getting him.
Having said that I don't have Ortiz yet so it may change.
-
Donny Baseball atm. Working towards Thome though
-
Adam dunn for me.

92 Vlad POTM parallel 5
Mine is too -
Level 4 Gehrig who for whatever reason comes up with clutch hits against lefties for me.....and that's saying something considering he's the only guy who hits above .240 for me
-
I got Babe Ruth during early access and I'm still using him. He's been parallel 5 for weeks now which helps.
There are guys I can really hit well with and some I can't so much and I just hit great with him vs. LH and RH. He has the lowest OVR rating on my team even with the +5 boost.
But he has the highest BA on my team which includes Trout and a bunch of mid to hi 90's stars at every position.
Hits HRs too lol.
