There is a player that has a good chance of going diamond that you're ignoring

I don't know, but I'm sitting on 1K+ silver cards of 1 particular player that everyone is sleeping on so he better go gold.

Alright, first hint:
He finished among the top-20 in his respective league's MVP voting. He didn't go diamond last year but came very close.
Man I went through all the top 20 MVP from the 2 months last year guys in both leagues and cannot figure out who you might mean. Salvy is the only one that I think could possible, Teoscar next.

It’s Devers

I have like 40 of him as I agree. Not sure why he hasn’t been upgraded yet.

Because his defense is horrendous. That's what's keeping his overall down, same with JD Martinez and Nelson Cruz. Those 2 will always remain gold cards despite their elite hitting solely based on their defense.
-
I get it but he actually plays 3B vs DH so he shouldn’t be rated like guys who hardly play the field. But otherwise completely agree his defense holds him back and since SDS typically doesn’t upgrade defense he’s kinda stuck.
-
Are you expecting Marcus Semien to go Diamond?
-
He also can't hit LHP. His splits are terrible
-
Hes talking about Teoscar
-
It is for sure Teoscar. He was a 84 last year and is having a pretty good season this year but I still don’t know if he’ll go up this time but maybe next time
-
I would say Freddy Peralta but don't think he has enough room to grow. Zack Wheeler has a chance because of his k/9
-
It’s probably lance Lynn or jack flaherty. Both of them were diamonds last year, so they’re already on the radar.
-
Alex Verdugo

Brad Hand

...is currently a silver. Do they do double upgrades?
-
@ChuckCLC_PSN, @rosborn27_PSN, @raesONE_PSN, @bsmith4263_PSN, @samguenther1987, @Bozzman0109_PSN
I'm about to post my next hint.
-
Mark Melancon, if he continues his pace & Lance Lynn.

Ding ding ding! We have a winner.
I'll explain why I think he's easy money to go diamond in my next post.

His fielding could get a major boost from what he's been doing lately. That throw from Left Field to home plate the other day to get Myles Straw was a thing of beauty. He doesn't get enough credit.

I don't see him going diamond. Personally, I think his BB/SO ratio is too low. That tells me he doesn't have a good eye and swings at bad pitches. He also has a .383 average with balls put in play...that shows he's getting some lucky hits. On top of that, his D/range is average.
