1250 ELO but I have very little time to study. I like using queens gambit to open unless I know my opponent is much better than me. Then I will play more conservative and hope for a draw lol.

Finally a good answer! I have time to study but I rarely do, tried to learn a King’s Indian or King’s Fianchetto but the lines are hard to memorize.

Do you prefer playing in Queen’s Gambit accepted or declined?

The pawn is shining in the center, there ain’t a queen in sight, we’re done the opening, all the pieces are developed and don’t you know it’s a beautiful new game. 🎵

I play better if it is accepted but declined is fine. If I am playing someone I am much better then accepted for sure as it opens up the game faster.

I like to fianchetto during fun games against my son though.

I really have been struggling in closed positions in general and I’ve been able to recognize it so oftentimes I’ll trade say a bishop for Knight to open up the position (even though the engine generally doesn’t like it) because ik it makes me less likely to blunder something

Mastering playing with you knights during the mid game is key and difficult. But usually I will trade a bishop for an opponents knight because people good with knights are tougher for me.

I feel like bishops are only really better than knights when you get to a high level titled game, but below 1500 it’s just whichever you’re more comfortable with

My chess Elo usually hovers around 1825 on chess.com. I started a chess club at the high school I teach at. As if being a band nerd wasn’t enough of a panty dropper.

That being said, I can sneak into WS most seasons. I’m a dual threat!

You want to play sometime? I can message you my chess.com username, I just don’t want to post it here

My chess ELO is way higher. There's no way in hell I'm ever getting to 1500 rating on MLB the show.

What an odd thread. Probably nobody plays chess on chess.com, plays MLB the show, and goes on this forum as well, just you... on the off chance they do, you'll have a response of 1 that can relate to your extremely specific hobbies together. At which point they can tell you their ranking on both hobbies and this thread ends.
Or, you're just wanting to tell us you play chess digitally and are good at it. Cool bud.
You can hit an MLB pitcher, you're the Internet's Bobby Fischer, and Derek Jeter is the greatest ever. Got it.

hes just a huge troll bro lol. hes the guy that said he can hit MLB pitching

For real... every thread he’s just seeing how hard he can pat himself on the back. Im not sure if he’s actually trolling or just has zero self awareness?
