Well, for what it's worth, I think sinker compliments the slider the most....along with a cutter. Beat the outside lower corner, then come back with a sinker. I believe sliders induce weak ground balls the most.

Slider is an amazing pitch but sinker is king online. Offline, slider may be better in many situations.

In real life the screw ball is the king of all pitches. It's basically a curve ball that breaks in the opposite direction and it is rarely if at all thrown anymore. In the game, probably the sinker is the most effective.
