If you can, do the exchanges, collection, missions, and PA. I’m about 80% done and haven’t done a single showdown and don’t foresee needing to do any to finish off. In fact, I’ve been able to get 100% in a division with only need to do the PA one time through.

I agree. The wife is out of town so I spent the entire day yesterday grinding the conquest maps. The pack rewards from the maps gave me enough cards to finish the LS collection and get every TA to about 65%. Haven’t even tried a showdown yet.

I'm sorry but they aren't that bad. I personally don't rush to the end like most. I end up with no less than 8/12 going into the final boss. You're playing on veteran for crying out loud the PCI is massive. Pick power guys dunno what else to tell you.

I had zero issues with TA1 showdowns. Hit bomb after bomb after bomb in those showdowns. Completed them all in a couple weeks. Power in TA2 showdown seems toned down compared to TA1 despite the fact many of the cards are better compared to the 42 cards we had access to.

Agree showdown for season 2 is brutal they definitely did something to make it harder vs season 1 it’s not even close . Ones any of these diamond pitchers gets confidence you might as well quit the ball doesn’t leave the yard even with exit velocity Perks .

I don't normally skip the end cause the game will [censored] over your hits and you can't consistently win. But with the moments in ta 2 I've attempted skipping and I'm 1 for 2 atm. If I loose another one prolly go back

Season 1 was super easy. Is 2 harder? Or just more annoying?

Both season 1 was like little pony difficulty compared to this one . you are also facing better diamond pitchers some that can throw 99+ mph it’s just way more annoying trust me .

The pitchers we face now are better than thenines we faced in TA1. That matters a bit too

Gotcha...was thinking of that as part of missions, so was making sure there wasn't something else.

I’m not good with high velo guys. TA 1 showdown was easy unless I had to face Dibble

There’s a decent mix between guys who throw gas and more finest pitchers . All I know is some of these showdown runs just feel like a uphill battle others are smooth sailing till you hit a wall . That wall is usually the final boss where no matter what you do balls refuse to land, a 2 run to win requirement looks more like a 10 and almost impossible to reach ones a pitcher gets enough confidence . I’m currently on a 50/50 win to lose rate ratio on this new showdown brutal.

I’m so burnt out on showdown after the early season grind. Gonna take the approach of doing exchanges here and there and just playing. The mini missions for TA2 showdowns are longer and more involved, I’m not down for that grind.

Im just hear to agree with everyone. This 2nd TA showdown sucks. The elite kids don't get affected because they can do it down 0-12.
These moments are brutal with a lineup full of silvers. And the perks are absolutely meaningless.
I still will never understand why we dont use our own team for this mode. What am i playing for if only 2 game modes require to use my team?

I’m 2 for 2 but I hate a lot of the missions. The randomness of needing a HR and the fact that I can hit 10 doubles and be wining 9-0 and lose just sucks. Also, I don’t know who thought having a stealing moment was a good idea.

The final bosses are annoying. I beat webb and Lee but barely, as again sinker ballers in this game seem incredibly hard to square up.

I’m going to see how exchanges and grinding the lessons and PA goes because I foresee a broken controller doing many more of these TA showdowns.

Couldn't agree more - so [censored] annoying

I have found it easier to do 2 moments and get to 4 runs and then skip to the end and do the steal thing to get pitcher confidence down. They throw cookies and defense isn't spectacular.

Also, moments/showdown should count towards parallel xp.

They definitely seem harder. I probably beat the TA1 showdowns 90% of the time. I think I went 1 out of 5 on TA2 yesterday in my first tries and that was because the last try I was perfect on all of the moments. Before that I never beat more than 3.

It’s partly because I’m not familiar with who the pitchers are going to be in the final to build my lineup. Some of the moments are just dumb too. Like the one where you have to 2 hits and a SB. Or the one where you have to get a HR at some point. That’s how moments go to. If you need a HR you can’t hit one. If you don’t then you hit 2 or 3.

Power means nothing when you have 125 power rating and square up and hit a lazy popout or the common outfielder flies 20 feet to make a catch

Everyone knows the difficulty rating of moments and showdowns is a complete sham. They mess with the sliders so hard. The size of the pci is kind of irrelevant when “human contact/power/timing” is all the way to the left, along with “cpu strike frequency” and the like.

Saying “it’s veteran, for crying out loud” is just a BS flex.

Or maybe you're just not as good at hitting as you think you are sir.
