They 100% knocked it out of the park with the parallel feature. Absolutely brilliant move on their part. Benefits all users, all cards, there’s really no downside to it anyway you look at it. Bravo SDS
I know they are always trying to innovate and make improvements from year to year, but I would be perfectly happy if they didn’t make any changes to this at all. It’s in good shape as it is and I would hate to take a step back.

I only play offline, so I love that I can upgrade the cards because last year you could only do it online.
cards weren't upgradeable last year

I dusted off my P2 Brandon Lowe during a TA stat game and my old pal homered first AB and went 3 for 4. I would have stuck with him and got him to 5, but better 2B are out
-
I think the fact that it doesn't become a totally different card and stats carry over is the best part of it.

Can someone explain this to me? What’s actually going on? Are your guys referring to when a card says 35k/75k and so on? If so, wtf is actually going on? I’ve noticed it. Love it. Just scratching my head afterwards. Thanks!

In the example above, the 35k/75k means 75 thousand players have reached that card level and you were the 35 thousandth. The numerator will stay the same, but the denominator will keep increasing. It’s a subtle way to show off that you were able to get the card to that level really early.

The 35 would refer to when you paralleled the card and the 75 would refer to the total number of people who have reached that parallel level. Hope that helps.

Inning bosses and Lightning POTM cards were able to be prestiged (upgraded) which gave them +3 I think to everything. Only done by stat missions online.

Love how they did this! Last year I was always frustrated during events when you couldn’t use prestigeable cards, but this completely fixes it.
Also pxp encourages lineup diversity. It’s a win all the way around.
It’s definitely the best thing they’ve incorporated. Conquest doesn’t feel like a waste of time since I can just load up the players I wanna parallel.
They also found a nice balance with making it doable, but not super easy either. You can get to level 3 pretty quick but IV and V are longer, makig it feel like a real accomplishment. I’m about 200 points away from V trout.
100% agree, conquest is way better since it feels like you are actually improving your roster.
Anyone know if the individual pitch speeds/control/break are affected? I know the general velocity, control, and break increase.
I believe they said it in a stream that yes, pitch attributes are affected as well.
Low key awesome feature is earning PXP for cards you dont own via BR. Think that was a pretty cool choice.

I still have Bryce in my RS lineup I have him up to a 91 in years past he would have been gone 2 weeks into the game. He does nothing but hit for me so until they release a card that is far superior gonna keep using him. Batting .437, 21 HR’s, and 40+ RBI’s

Yes they were, you could prestige them. That is an upgrade to the card. Not all the cards of course.

My Prestige V Hunter Harvey LS card is becoming more valuable by the day.

Prestige isn't an upgrade. U needed the base card to earn the prestige card but the prestige card is a totally different card than the base one. They are separate. The cards this year are actually upgradeable.

Nope. The prestige card was a totally separate card. U could have both in ur inventory at once. The cards this year are actually upgradeable.

Depends on how you look at it. Since you could not play both at the same time, of course you are going to play with the upgraded card. So in a sense it is an upgrade. Just in a different way. I like this year and having 5 upgrades rather than 1 big one, and of course that all the cards are eligible.

PXP is is the evolution of prestige cards. Much better system.

It does with velocity for sure. I have noticed my pitchers gaining an extra mph or two as they improve.
Have you seen your off speed pitches slow down? I remember last year they gave you 1 mph on fastballs and reduced breaking balls by 1 mph, generally speaking.
All your pitches increase except the changeup and circle-change, if I'm not mistaken.
