How do I slide into first?

    While you're right 99% of the time, I've slid into first and successfully avoided a tag from a pitcher or 1st basemen more than once. Most of the time, it is pointless as it only slows you down.

    To answer the OP's question, I think it's up on the right analog stick.

    Yeah up on right stick slides into any base head first. Down should be a normal slide. Not sure about this year, but you could also go diagonally up right or up left to go to either side of the bag which can make a difference stealing 2nd.

    If you are RTTS player lock, you hold down L1 and move the right analog stick up

    I've got into first diving under tags by the pitcher on close plays as well. You're right though, right analog stick.
