A high school freshman Josh Hader struck me out when I was a senior. He was unhittable in high school.

Was this when he was making highly questionable tweets?

I mean song lyrics, but no, that was later I think. We went to different schools so I didn’t know him personally to know if he was like racist or not

Just curious, where did you go to high school? My cousin went to Old Mill (long before Josh Hader went there) and lived in Millersville, MD.

I went to Chesapeake in Pasadena

I saw Chesapeake and thought the college and was completely lost.

I grew on the shore and moved back to the Cape St. Claire a few years ago after my Army stint.

    North Caroline HS

    edit fck richey hwy

I avoided Ritchie Highway when I still lived in Maryland.

I worked in Curtis Bay for right at a year and couldn't take it. The beach traffic using college parkway because of wazes would take me 45 minutes to go 3 miles on college pkwy

I've been working in Lanham for the past 2ish years. It's not bad as long as I can get across the Severn River before a back up

Bartolo Colon hit .084, I am miles more athletic and coordinated than he is. I have a good build and am in my physical prime.... and I basically only need to hit half as well as Colon.

Ok dude just stop. Now you’re asserting that you’re a better athlete than Bartolo based on what evidence? Please enlighten us!!! Because he’s fat??? Because he doesn’t run fast?? Because he is a terrible hitter??? How about these facts!!! He’s a former cy young award winner, finished in the top five for the gold glove at his position several times. He has actually hit a home run. He has posted several videos on social media of his workout regimen. The dudes a lot more athletic than you give him credit for and my guess is at the age of 48 he would still blow you away at plate with his 89 mph fastball that he can dot anywhere in the strike zone that he chooses. But you continue embarrassing yourself with these outlandish claims and we’ll continue rolling our eyes at your ignorance.

I remember playing Lou Gehrig ball when I was like 16. I was facing the star pitcher for my high school who threw 10+ mph harder than anyone else around. I don't know what his velo was but it was probably high 80's/low 90's. I could barley even pick up his fastball let along get a hit off it. BUT, one of my shining moments is when he hung a slider and I lined a single up the middle.

This dude washed out in college with an ERA of 6.00+. You wouldn't even get close to an MLB pitchers stuff if you haven't played since middle school.

What’s your evidence kid. You saying that he’s not athletic isn’t an argument. It’s an assumption based in nothing tangible. To make a clear and compelling argument you need to provide facts to back up the argument. I provided facts for my argument. You’ve provided conjecture. If you don’t know what that means look it up.

never mind the fact that hes basing his entire argument off of athleticism, which doesnt make someone a good baseball player

This dudes just a walking talking fish tale. Every claim is more outlandish than the last. All his arguments are based on a false premise, which makes his arguments even less credible.

this thread just made me watch when Chapman threw 106mph to McCuthen and it nearly took his helmet off as he was just trying to remove his body out of the way of it because he could barely see it

Yeah bro. Give it a go

Kinda like how you’re athletic and NOT good at baseball.

There's a YT video of a guy who's never played before making contact with 95 MPH after like 6 days of practice.

My form and swing is already better than said guy, for example, his back foot appeared to move too much and his swing was longer and loopier than mine.

If he can still make contact with 95, I should be able to make solid contact with MLB pitching. Granted there will be offspeed mixed in, but who knows, maybe I hit the offspeed better. I also get many more chances than the dude from the video, I get 20 ABs.

It's ridiculous how quickly people in this thread dismiss the possibility of a hit. If you believe I'm underestimating MLB pitchers (which again, most of my argument is based off probability, so that doesn't matter) than you're certainly overestimating how good MLB pitchers are.

Alot of people dont realize, the worst player in the MLB, NBA, etc, is 100 times better than the average person.

that's simply not true. The worst NBA player is maybe 10 times better than a great pickup player, not 100.

I said the average person, a great pickup player is has much better basketball skills than an average person.

Well then I'm significantly better at baseball than the average person. I have at least played at some level, I know good form and technique and have a better eye.

No you’re not. You’re basically the definition of average

This whole thread is irrelevant. He will never try to do it. By his logic, I could kick a 50 yard field goal as I used to practice field goal kicking in middle school but I can’t do it now because my history of groin injuries.

Entry level skill set is what I would call average and that’s exactly what you would have if you haven’t played since middle school. It’s actually kind of insulting to people who have spent a lot of time trying to be good at baseball for you to come in here saying you can roll out of bed and get a hit in the majors.
