If you completed the live series than you should have alot of the pieces that go into the sets. Otherwise it could get pricey. Totally depends on the total number of pieces needed and what program they are pulling from. I would assume Future Stars will be needed since they are a major part of TA2.

If its the like the 2020 Trout Collection or 2019 Wagner collection you're looking at 1 million stubs although some cards are cheaper and free to obtain then in the past. Start buying up all the non-live series like All-star, veteran, rookie , breakout, etc while they're still affordable. Prices will sky rocket on Friday especially the golds and silvers.

I honestly think this collection is being overhyped a bit. It's too early in the year for them to drop a massive collection. If you've been playing the game since Day 1 and completing all the programs, I would bet you'll have enough to complete the collection or come very close as soon as it drops.

i feel the same way but it is SDS, they always throw a curveball into the mix every year

Yep like say for example you have to have all of the Veteran cards.
Well, that would take just about all the Veteran cards off the market almost immediately. Once everyone locks them into the collection the card count would decrease rapidly.
There are too many cards you can't acquire again (previous RS, event and BR rewards) so if they disappeared off the market that would make this impossible for most people to complete.

Very true, but with all the new players this year, I don't expect them to drop something that's all that difficult to acquire. The trend has been towards making collections and programs easier than in year's past, and I wouldn't expect them to change that now.

I think people may be overthinking this. I think the clue is in what type cards is in ta2.

I think SDS has the names to do multiple big collections this year (Aaron and Clemente.... plus, I think they have a big legend up their sleeves). If you listen to the senior YouTubers they will provide solid guidance on preparedness steps. IF these legend silvers are in any big collection they will go to 5000 a card and even be sold out if they are needed for collections. This can push a player to require a limited gold that can max out in gold sale price and be sold out. If that happens you need diamonds and ones that cost 7k-10k in the past could rise to 65k+. These cards will be needed. If not now, they will be huge later. Be smart and do not panic buy or sell in this game as you will lose.

I have sold most duplicates at inflated prices as I believe that this is a case of over hype. Probably just going to be the TA 2 cards that need to be collected or a flat # of legends or Flashbacks. Hoping cards tank on Friday so I can buy them back cheap.

That's what I'm hoping for. I just remember that Machado rookie card from last year...
I was using the 79 Gwynn for exchanges early on. Was buying at like 300 stubs and forget I had another dozens he’s 4,000 ish now so they are certainly out there.
I think the 2ndH JD Martinez, AS Wade Davis, and the PS Donaldson are the current jackpots card.
I also think prospects explode although I haven’t stocked up on any.

it could be very little pending TA2 and legends, could be a yeear long thing based on who you need. its why im keeping my eddie and piazza for the time tho both are being benched tomorrow

I know. I see some people talking like they are gonna drop the big collection super early this year. Seriously doubt that. Especially since they only mentioned FB's and legends.
