What’s everyone’s thought on pinpoint pitching?

I’ve been using it for about 5 or so days. Can’t determine if it’s better than analog. How are you guys doing with PP?
I think accuracy needs to mean more. I mess up and scribble worse than a 2 year old at macaroni grill and still dot because my release was great.
This is true.
Also, sorry to do this because we're so sick of R2 threads, but an important point to make about about pinpoint is that the R2 interference is real and it's bad. I've had R2 presses cut right through my drawing the shape, and then I have no chance at a correct release. Once it let me restart drawing but the other occasions the pitcher just threw the ball. On meter it was an interruption to the process of pitching but on pinpoint it's actually meaningfully disruptive to pitch accuracy. I know that's been said by others who have been using pinpoint already, but I wanted to add my confirmation of this firsthand.
However, I do really enjoy using pinpoint. At the moment, I find it more effective vs human players than the CPU. The CPU seems to take everything borderline when I'm using pinpoint so I found I was suddenly walking batters I wouldn't have walked using meter.

Is there a tutorial for pinpoint? Normally I don't need one but it's so weird.
In the game? Not really. But several content creators have made one. The most effective tutorial I’ve seen has been from MovieGaming on YouTube.
No but just go into practice mode with a pitcher and use it until you get it down or just play conquest with it. That’s how I mastered it.

I tried it for an inning or two on a rookie play vs cpu game grinding innings and I SUCKED at it. I’m sure I just need to use it a bunch and practice. I still use meter for anything important.

I like it. I’ll still miss my spots, but with analogue, the ball would randomly not go at all where it was supposed to. And that would almost always lead to a homerun. I’m not seeing that so much with pinpoint.
-
Was using meter since the release date but I felt it was too random when I would miss the line. Gave pinpoint a real shot 3 days ago and I'm not going back. I still see a few random results but I have a lot more control on my pitches. The R2 issues is annoying but if it really messes with one of my pitch, I can spike it. Nowhere near being an expert but it changed my game so far.

i dont use anything(classic), i control my pitches using stick movt. i never want the ball to go exactly where i place it except maybe once during a count........

Pinpoint is great on ps5.. not so much on box series s.. but i like knowing if I hang a ball, its my fault..well it atleast feels that way.

Have literally noticed zero difference between the two consoles. Fanboy much?
To answer OP. I love it. I don't use it in ranked seasons online though.

Maybe it's just the elder millennial in me but I couldn't get the hang of it. I seem to pitch ok with meter so I'm sticking with that for now.

I love it, great addition. It also makes me really value BB/9 & control. Those pitchers with low BB/9 & control really feel like high risk/high reward this year.
