Use contact then and you won't be sorry. It has the same power as Power and Normal, but with a bigger PCI.
Ive tried, just dont see it. Afraid to keep using it because of the weak contact.
If you are playing BR you may as well power swing but in WS Legend type RS games trying to get Chipper Jones and company out when they are contact swinging is a joke sometimes.

This contact swing sounds like in 18 when people would say the game predetermined who won. Impossible to prove but its interesting to hear ppl talk about it

I’m an 800 ranked player who can’t win two in a row in BR because of this contact swing. I frequently could go 6-0+ - I cleared the BR reward for season 1 in 4 BR runs. I get that the PCI area for results supposedly is broken but I faced Mike Zunino with Jose Leclerc (whose peripherals give guys a smaller PCI) and after he hit his dinger the results showed a PCI that was basically two thirds of the entire strike zone. And it was a snot rocket of a dinger. I personally am not benefitting from circle because I often get the middle of the ball and line out. But as much as we are all mad - I have a feeling a BIG update is coming.

Dude just go play a different game. Seriously, There are so many great games on Playstation. You’d be ALOT happier. This stuff here...It’s just getting weird & creepy.

I haven't had any noticeably increased success using contact swing... is it only an online thing?

It's 100% a thing. It's not even debatable. You could argue how much of a thing it is, but there is definitely an imbalance that needs to be corrected.
I'm hoping it's ASAP

At the beginning of the season this board was flooded with post after post of "Gameplay is great! Fix the servers!!" Now that the servers seem to be fixed, or at least good enough for posts complaining about them to be rare, suddenly gameplay isn't so great. Which seems odd to me since no changes have been made to it.
If they do "fix" contact hitting, the community still won't be happy. You'll just move the goalposts again and find something else to be unhappy about.

Yeah no one is ever happy. I've played every single MLB The Show that has ever came out and I'm rarely if ever disappointed. Are there things that bug me or I would like to see different maybe? Of course. But it is a quality game. I play basically every sports game out there year in and year out but I'd say The Show is the best of the bunch.
The more time the game is out, the more people find to complain about.

At this point someone from SDS needs to address if they intend to fix it or not. Cause if not I can Uninstall and try again next year.
