Literally have to swing as soon as the ball leaves the pitcher's hand. Happening on all star and HOF. Game is zero fun. Happened on last patch. Guess my internet just got bad again. So much for the apology. Too early I guess. Game is playing just like 19 and 20 now.
What monitor are you playing on? Are you using VRR and/or ALLM? Do you have HDR on? Have you ever tried turning your controller off then back on to reset the Bluetooth connection? Or going wired?
I turned off my allm, hdr and vrr....just running on 4K fixed and it seems much easier to hit.
1440, 165, 1 ms monitor. HDR is off. I don't see a setting for allm or vrr. Monitor is LG27GL83A.
I haven’t played on PS5, but you can turn off the Variable Refresh Rate and Low Latency Mode from the Xbox side for series X.
PS5 doesn't have these settings.

Earlier in the year I felt like I was actually able to hit but right now I simply can’t react to anything.
I don’t know if it is me sucking or something with the game. Maybe I suck but it also seems others are having the same experience. I can’t hit a fastball unless I guess completely right on it.
It’s funny you mention that. Last year I couldn’t catch up to anything, so I bought a monitor. This year with the game being on PS5, I switched back to my TV because my tv has a serviceable input lag at 4k and 60fps. And the first few weeks, it was going just fine, but then, suddenly, I couldn’t catch up to anything anymore. I’ve since switched back to my monitor. Even so, I have to gear up for the hard stuff. It’s funny; when I gear up, I find myself early on 102 mph fastballs, but if I try to slow myself at all, I’m very late. I’m really struggling finding the timing windows this year. And with pitch speeds fluctuating based on connection quality, it’s extra difficult.

I haven't played online much, but it would not surprise me if they are messing with swing timing windows. The last two years were the same story, easy to hit for the first month or so then suddenly can't react to fastballs at all.

This just started happening Saturday night. I had just played DeGrom on HOF and scored 6 runs in like 3 innings. Next game and every since it was like warp speed. Dropped down to 400 and I was getting 1 hit by Kopech, 3 hit by another pitcher. Could not react on all star. I didn't feel bad about dropping down because I flat couldn't hit. I felt like a little leaguer going against a high school pitcher.
Instead of a game about reacting, for me it is a game of getting lucky. Trying to sell out for fastball and looking really stupid on any other pitch.
