Yeah, exactly. I mean, just for once, I’d like to experience what it would be like to have black and white results like that. You know, Good timing with PCI 12 and above is a hit, etc.
I’m sure there would be other problems but it bothers me that randomness is built into the game under the guise of, “that’s baseball”.
This is not baseball, but video game baseball.
See, I would not like that, I'm not saying I love RNG and it absolutely should be toned down more, but I don't want it to become a perfect/perfect simulator. I want at some level to feel like I'm playing baseball, not playing who gets the higher number feedback
I don’t disagree with you. It just makes me have to turn off the game in disgust sometimes, which is disappointing because I have mostly had good fun this year.
It really is about managing expectations eh?

Your opponents PCI is not that accurate and if it's a high vision contact and power guy you shouldn't have to hit it perfect everytime either
-
I agree, but, I would love to see MORE hits on balls inside the pci and LESS hits on balls not inside the pci.

Dude the pci lies. If he hit bombs, it was from launch angle. If you watch the replay, the bat connects with the ball on early swings and are bearrellwd up. Yes it sis dumb but if you watch the replay you will see it. Pci is garbage now, it’s more about barrel placement and it is not the same as the pci spot. It’s dumb yes but unfortunately it’s the reality of this game
then why is it every single time you get a perfect hit the ball is magically dead center of the pci? if the pci lies then how can this be explained?
Are you daft? Watch the replay of the off pci bombs you hit and see what the bat does. Sure the perfects are different, I’m talking about the “off” ones. If you don’t believe me go watch college lefty’s videos of this effect and movie does them too. It clear shows why the off pci bombs are still bombs . The bat barrels it up on early swings with the launch angle .

I’ve hit homeruns with pci slightly outside ball but I was early and using power swing. The pci just represents the green timing zone. Hitters with extreme pull swings do not have their sweet spots covered only within the pci. A guy with a long slow balanced swing can get away with having his pci outside the ball. The pci is the sweet spot and sweet spots change for low versus high pitches due to the angle of the bat.
-
The outer pci is the pci bub.

Ive sent messages to people several times when they get a hr an ask where the pitch was an what there pci was. Everytime it doesnt match whats on my screen.
2 examples
The worst one i remember i threw fastball down an in an guy said it was middle in on his.
Second one was the ball so far far i side he woulda had to hit the ball with his [censored] but somehow raked in down the line fair. So theres no way for physics to work unless the ball wasn't in the same spot i threw it on his end.
Sometimes the game does leave you consfused
Last quick most recent wtf moment last night dude threw several sliders and fb in middle an i couldnt get a hit an then chipper hits a 102 mph low fb over dead centerfield wall an the bat animation shows it was on end of the bat lol -

The opposing player PCI feedback does not work properly. Thats why we have these posts every day about "the other player hit homeruns with terrible PCI placement". Their PCI placement does not match what you are seeing on the feedback. I have no proof on that but I wish someone would make a video to prove it so people stop claiming this is happening every day
Are we sure about this? I was playing a twitch streamer the other day and my PCI feedback matched with what he was being shown.

Latency matters.

Just played a ranked seasons game. Dude hit 3 homeruns this game and each time the pci wasn’t touching the ball in the feedback box. It was on all star difficult in the 500’s.
I haven’t been playing much ranked this year, currently 22-6. Have you guys been seeing people hit a HR with the pci not even touching the ball with the center of it?
Just curious, how are you ranked only in the 500s with such a good record.

This is not baseball, but video game baseball.
For example, I just lost a game wherein I started the game off two batters in a row taking 3-0, getting a pitch to hit 3-1, putting a good swing on it, and making an out. Obviously this happens in rl as well, but my opponent couldn’t hit all game, and then walked it off with one lucky swing.
Does this happen in real baseball? Yes. But not nearly as much as it does in this game.
I’d love to see what black/white inside and outside the strike zone plays like. I can deal with the randomness most days, but there needs to be a way to get a player out when you force them
into a bad choice. Aka swings outside the zone.Just for a game or two I want to see Ks on balls being chased. Not 5% of them, not once there 14 feet outside the contact swing area, you swing outside to a zone you sit down. People will adjust, the balance will be there, and people will know what it is there trying to do.
Sadly I don’t even think it’s possible to play without massive RNG unless something that like is put in.

PCI inner represents the sweet spot of the bat (if you never played baseball, you probably won’t understand this)
IRL ive hit homers off lefties at the end the barrel and curveballs where the bat starts to thin out. Depends on the pitchers throwing hand, the type of pitch they throw and the trajectory of their pitch. SDS has nearly perfected hitting this year.
FWIW our high school field was only 280 to left and 265 to right. I played in the aluminum bat/-5 era (aging myself heavy)

I was in the 700’s when I got to the end of the xp reward path and I stopped playing ranked. It reset and dropped me down when the new program came out.
I’ll do the win 10 games in ranked/br mission then go do the other stuff for xp points.I’m having a weird year with this game. I’ll hit my xp goal with 10-20 days left in the program then I’ll play other games. I log in and do the daily stuff then go play apex legends/siege
If they would of left the xp reward path in like last years game I’d probably have over 100 games played. I have 141 hours played since the game came out
