Could I get some feedback from experienced collection guys?

If you’re looking to complete collections, the last thing you should be doing is ripping packs. Consider yourself lucky you didn’t do too bad.
Going forward, use those stubs to build your stub bank byworking the market/investing

I kind of want to sell back and see what I lost.

Buy players not packs.
-
I recently focused my attention to trying for LS collection too. I'd assume a good strat is sell any cards you earn that aren't LS.
-
Haven’t bought a single pack all year and got chipper today NMS. I’ve just been flipping and selling everything I get from playing (event awards, br awards, ranked etc) and once I’d get up to 250,000 or so I’d buy a bunch of guys on the market to take into ranked and once I was done, sell them all back and go back to flipping until I want to play ranked again
-
Definitely buy players. You already have Trout so thats the biggest obstacle. With 225K, you could have finished the AL West, AL Central and probably the NL Central and then just grinded out TA and US Conquest for the packs/stubs to get the rest.
-
Open all the free packs you want. (I'm up to 292 so far this year.)
AFTER you've opened your free packs, buy whoever's left.
Team by Team.
Division by Division
League by League -
packs not the way anymore for sure. Grind and avoid them and you’ll have the collection done in no time.
-
Completed collections 2 weeks in by flipping anything I could. Packs are the worst way to try and complete collections. There are lots of videos on YouTube on that subject.
-
Start flipping cards. You'll have the collection soon.
-
Definitely save stubs & flip / buy players off the market. Put all your stubs towards the most expensive players first, according to whichever League you'd prefer to finish first. If you're totally committed to the LS you might as well finish the league that's easiest for you to finish. Probably the AL since you have Trout. Might as well get your hands on Ortiz, Goose, Posada, Tanana ect & start paralleling. I personally did the NL first because I knew Finley, Soriano, Banks & Gagne are cards I'll use for a long time. Either way, getting to that 'halfway' point & getting some good cards helps keep you motivated
Sell pretty much every single duplicate card you have, get all the stubs sitting around in your collection. Don't buy packs. Only open free packs. The free packs will help you fill the holes in collections while you're putting together the stubs needed for the Diamonds. The expensive diamonds will either remain or get more expensive over time. The cheaper diamonds will slowly get cheaper (barring any attribute upgrades). So it comes down to if you want to do A.) 1 league first, or B.) both at the same time. Always get the expensive cards first unless you have enough stubs that it doesn't really matter. Especially with a stub sale looming
Regardless of A or B, try to buy ALL the cards through sale orders. Save as many stubs as you can while completing. There's no rush and the sales go through quickly. Especially if you grind on the day of Content drops, when the market crashes a bit & moves really quickly.
Don't ever leave yourself broke though. Always trying to have at least 100k around to be aggressive on the market, to build yourself back up

This is just me personally.....I never buy packs in The Show anymore. I came from Madden Ultimate Team where their packs give some pretty good pulls all of the time...The Show doesn’t. I opened 55 packs the other day - All packs I had earned from doing all the conquest maps & I drew zero diamonds & only two golds, And that has been my experience with packs year after year on here. The way I complete collections is put in sell orders on every card, Even the commons and never pay the buy now price. People will sell you the cards for cheap. It’s amazing how fewer stubs it costs doing it this way. Good luck.

So I had 225,000 Stubs along with Trout, Chapman and Hader.
I decided to commit to doing the collections so I opened 3 of the 75 pack deals. I pulled Judge, Soto, Hendricks and Lemeheiu. It looks like I have close to half of all the cards from browsing my binder.
I figured it would be fun to open the packs since all the non free agents I pull I would need. I was hoping to hit one of the expensive players but didn’t get lucky. Figure now going forward that won’t be wise since I’ll get a lot of duplicates.
So how dumb was that to open packs?
Any tips from this point on? Anything at all? Thanks.
if you realistically want to do colleections then yes packs arent ideal, but thats zero fun and everyone hates on packs so its up to you

Whats the live series collection cost, 2 mi total? And the big 8 gate keeper cards are like 1.6 mil of it. You can probably buy every gold/silver/bronze/common card for like 100k total. I love ripping packs, I have opened every single headliner and space pack, instead of buying those I could of had Cole/DeGrom/Acuna and would of been done with all this nonsense.

Or poke your eyes out with a stick. They are equally fun.

Instead of opening any packs one day 1 this year. I decided to place buy orders. I placed 3 buy orders for every common and bronze card in the LS collection. I then sold the other 2 the next day while at work. Use those stubs to rinse and repeat with the silvers and golds. I was trying something completely new this year since I didn't have as much time to grind and didn't feel like dropping $200+ this year. Now i'm only a couple diamonds away from finishing. Long story short, this has been the fastest and cheapest method I've ever used. I used to play BR a lot the first month and sell all diamond rewards(didn't have that kind of time this year). This way was much faster. Saw someone on YouTube do it, and unfortunately I can't remember who it was.
-
got Chipper today NMS, with no flipping, no ranked wins and no event wins ... I completed all of team affinity, all conquest maps and showdowns, moments and player programs (basically all single player grinds) ... then to close it out just simulated rtts for the diamond perks and equipment to sell
-
This is the first year I didn’t buy packs and it’s also the fastest I ever finished the collection lol, I don’t think that’s a coincidence.

Incredibly poor choice. If you sold Hader and just bought the players in AL via buy orders, you would be close to completing or just a day or two of playing away from it.
Do not buy packs, get packs via rewards for playing but never buy them. Made a post about this the other day for no money spent and no flipping way of doing it.

Yep, biggest waste of stubs there is
