I can’t believe how bad this game is now

There have been some versions in the past that were bad (yes, I’m looking at you 18), but hitting has never been THIS unrewarding.
I was a Top 50 player last year, went 12-0 in BR multiple times, and always made WS. But this year’s version is a steaming pile.
I’m just so bummed. This game was so great when it launched.

And I’m not even talking about just online play. Offline is playing just as terrible.
It’s amazing how bad this game is right now.

I wouldn’t say necessarily that it’s a steaming pile. But the game does have some glaring issues. One of the bigger ones for me is pitch speed, pitches on the corners not being called strikes forcing people to throw in the middle of the zone and poor pitch location when the meter is green (or in the marker for analog).
Hitting should just have been left alone and just made an adjustment to pitch speed and again have pitches that are strikes called strikes. -

It is really refreshing to hear this coming from a top ranked player. The game was so much fun during the 4 day early release for pre-ordering but now it complete trash for me. I have played DD using Zone hitting since 2016 and I can't even use that now. I can barely hit with Directional. The timing window is horrendous as well. Pitch speeds seem slow. Strikes aren't called strikes. Playing the game feel like a waste of time. I was playing Conquest and Steven Voight turned on a Ryan 100 mph fastball up and in for a HR. He could never hit his way out of a paper bag but he can rope on a video game. Anyway thanks for posting your thoughts as a great player. Now we don't need to hear #GitGud BS from other guys who think the game actually plays good.

Bro it is absolutely a steaming pile of [censored]. The fact that a group of people got together and deemed it acceptable to put this [censored] out for sale blows my mind. The shame I would feel if I was a designer om this project would be extreme. Dishonor on my whole family.

why was there no patch today
this game is unplayable -
ir Was so much fun, then the cry babies said hitting was to easy and they didn’t want a homerun fest. Now it’s unrewarding and good contact is registered as good okay way to often

This forum is the same every year during the first month. Can't wait for all the cry babies to finally shutup and stop playing.

Fielding horrendous even sometimes even when the player is under the landing spot the ball lands like 6 foot away so the other team can score or put more baserunners so they can tie the game or get ahead. So obvious. And the strike zone sometimes is small like shoe box so you have to throw just in the middle to finish the f... inning or reward the batter with an rbi or a bomb. And this is online and offline.

Hitting was far to easy when it first came out, but at least it seemed to reward the better player more. There also seemed to be more swing and miss, which was great. After the patch it has seemed to go back to the 19 thing of anyone can foul off almost any pitch, no matter where its at.

Good news is this.... This is definitely not the final version of this game, they will address gameplay issues, they alway do ... So patches are being worked on now I"m sure...

I do not get it. I started 0-4 in RS to many errors and fielding issues. Then on Sat I go 8-2 put me at AS Level with a 8-6 record. Then on Sunday I only won 1 game out of who knows how many I played. Some that were just brutal with the strike zone and errors. Catcher not being able to make a good throw to 1st on a drop ball. A ball bouncing off Mantles foot while waiting to catch it which would of been the 3rd out turns in a 5 run inning. Tatis boots first play of the game at SS and then over throws the 1B. On and on and on with the errors. I think in one of my games the combined errors were like 9.

I played this game so much pre patch and was having a blast!!! since patch I barely turn it on, lots of call of duty, unfortunately.

That needs to be addressed, errors shouldn’t happen to that extent, 2019 was like that it’s first couple months, I almost gave up on it, but they patched it and improved the heck out of the fielding ...
