    Hypothetically speaking, would it still be considered a perfect game if it goes into extras, since there is now a runner on base?

    Furthermore, if the pitcher in question is the away pitcher, and his team doesn’t score in the top of the inning, and he allows a ground out and then a walk off sac fly, does he only get credit for a no hitter even though he never allowed a runner to reach?

    According to MLB and Elias a perfect game cannot be lost by anything the runner on 2nd does because the runner on 2nd does not count on the pitcher's line.

    I would love to see a pitcher pitch into the 10th. Especially these days. Might encourage the younger guys not to worry about pitch count as much.
