SDS should have made Chipper and company a grind like Griffey in 2017.
It gets really old playing the same cheese lineup of Chipper, Soriano, Ortiz, CAP, Finley etc....not only because it’s the same guys every time but also because most of those guys can take ten bad swings and the first decent swing they take is a bomb. Just gets old and it’s annoying because I want to enjoy DD.
I grinded like a mofo in the market for complete the LS collections. As did a lot of other people. You can do the same thing.
Not everyone whipped out their credit cards and even if they did... so what? Their money.
I did not say one thing about people opting to use the best lineup possible. That’s all in your head man.

He is basically a knuckle baller. He can get good players out off of BS.

Its the weird break that it has. The way it drops it disappears honestly each time. I have used him in 3 games and i think no earned run yet and lots of strike outs

Glavines a beast apparently (dont have him yet) but Burnes was an easy to obtain primary sinker, cutter guy with high velo so its kind of a no brainer he will be in most squads. I see Burnes a lot and the higher ranking you are the more likely you'll be seeing most of the same pitchers. Its like last year seeing Kluber and Hal every game for the first months. Then it became Orel and Kluber and Leiter.
Mid-range tiers I'm seeing a large variation of SPs still. Actually had someone use TN Happ and the newer TN Clease.

In case you didn’t get the point of the post I am saying that a Chipper type of lineup shouldn’t be attainable off the bat. Especially when the market players are so far behind.
I am in no way faulting people for going out and getting what is available.
In case you aren’t familiar with the Griffey grind from 2017 he was free, but I think the first person finished in like July. Ultimately there should be better cards for guys like you but having such a huge advantage off the bat with only the Nine or Ten 99 players available creates no lineup diversity and an unfair playing field for those that don’t like to grind or spend money.

I’m in the 800s again now after WS last season. It’s Burnes, Glavine and Valenzuela every time.

The good thing this year that I haven't seen that much is the spamming of Starters coming out of the bullpen. I would do that if my Starter got shelled in the first 3 innings.
Each year it is the Same, last year was Mickey Mantle with Kluber in almost all in the start of it.

There will always be people with more time to play than others; I don't understand what you're suggesting. The only solution is no microstransactions (yeah right!), no market/limit the number of cards you can carry/hoard. Other than that, not much we can do.

this is why I play events more often for a variety, especially the one now with only silver players. for instance I am loving playing with tyler o neil who I would never of thought would be a great player. but for ranked it would be a disadvantage for me to march out guys I want to play with compared to guys I need to play with. last year TA 2/3 introduced way more variety to where I kept gorman, marsh, and later on george brett in my lineups

Doesn't matter what their names are... at some point everyone will have a god squad and that's what kills the fun of DD and any other ultimate team mode in any game.
On paper it looks great. I'm going to assemble a team of past and current greats and play against others who are doing the same. In practice though, it always ends up the same way - everyone has the same team (even if not the same players) because everyone has cards that are level 97+ (eventually).So at that point it comes down to who is better at the controls, which is cool I guess, but I agree it could be better, just don't know what that would look like....

Weird complaint.. Any time you play ranked, most of the time will you will be playing against the best cards. It will always be that way in any sports game. If you want more of a variety then play events or br.

what you are experiencing with Fernando and the screwball is pretty accurate.its exactly what he did in real life ,he dominated with it and gave major league hitters the same trouble you are experiencing.
