It really sounds like you're complaining about your own aesthetic preference. Some people hit better without seeing the pci. Some don't. It isn't more complex than that, and it doesn't need to be.
If someone is going to complain about slow pitch speeds online compared to offline, then they clearly aren't good enoigh to make it past the lower difficulties. When comparing HOF or legend pitch speeds, offline is an absolute joke in comparison to online pitch speeds, and it always has been.

All in good fun nerds, but We really need a major update for this game. Things aren't right as usual, but I'm sure it will be fixed.

Random Number Generator. When you make contact opposing stats are calculated as well as contact number (PCI placement basically) and then generates a number which influences what hit type you get.

But here's the thing....online we are automatically at a disadvantage because of the people that do. Don't tell me it doesn't make a difference. ..because it does. SDS, can we at least be matched up with our own kind in terms of no Pci users. Our time is valuable for us real men. We don't have time to be playing some cheat at level 100 already with no life.
