Running into 102 MPH pitchers every game is fun!

JK. Ranked was fun for a month, now I'm facing 102 mph pitchers every fukking game. Oh well. Not sure how to spend my time in this game now and actually enjoy my time. You'd think SDS would not want every game to be a pitcher's duel and actually give people the chance to hit the ball. That would require some good development though!

It seems to be one or the other if your playing on all Star it's a slugfest and your playing on hall of fame it's a pitchers duel regardless of who's on the mound most of the time

It's not fun, is what it is. If someone who knew nothing about baseball and MLB just watched this game, they'd assume dudes were throwing over 100 every single game. I just don't really know what to do anymore, I'm not sure how to have fun without going up against Kopech, Chapman, Tanana, Dibble, Feller, etc. every single game.

I struggle to hit on All-Star at the best of times! I would much rather face 102mph than that Venulzuela though. He does me everytime.

Just like irl, you need to sit on a pitch, especially when facing those guys. Most players have patterns as well, identify them and make it count. If I could just lay off the curve/change up in the dirt...

They've made the game for the streamers who play on monitors, they are the ones they listen to, not the majority. Realistically, you don't stand a chance playing with a regular set up on this game unfortunately as the lag is just too high. Seriously, switch to a monitor for even half an hour and you see the difference, it's like playing on a difficulty level lower, maybe 2. If you're on a monitor, 102mph won't bother you at all, it will look like low 90's on a TV

Events and Battle Royal are what you are looking for, they are designed exactly for what you want.
Or try online ranked games with normal teams.DD will be filled with over the top action all season. Nature of the beast.

That's part of the "meta" right now. Its still early so you can get away with using guys with not so great stuff as long as they throw gas. I'm not saying you wnt see it all year, but you will have better catds to combat it and you will get the timing down just by seeing it so much. I would tell you to either try out some events or just keep playing til you get the timing down. Sometimes you just need to practice. Everyone does.. I don't mean that in a trolly way either. Sooner than later you will be happy when people are just throwing you FBs

This isn’t a “get good” or “just practice” reply, but honesty what I do that helps is go into practice mode on Legend against a flame throwing pitcher, and set it to be fastballs down the middle. After getting it down, set for fastballs all over and work on the pci. This is ramped up which will then make it seem slower online. From there you can just rock 102, though I agree it is annoying seeing it every game.

The strategy I've been seeing the past 2 days is [censored]!
Finding it rather lame. Then when I pitch I get em out with strikes or pitches slightly out the zone. Then they show bunt every pitch insisting I throw strikes. We must be playing different games.

While I on the other hand have to keep switching pitchers because wainwright/flaherty are tired/ cant go everygame.
Does that happen to anyone else? You know where you'll be using a # 4 starter yet you're constantly facing aces?

ive played against him twice and yeah....he's nasty. I won both games but yeah...>_<

Well, at some point (some players are there already), you're 4th starter will be a 92 Diamond, the same way you're 8th hitter will be. That's the appeal (downside for some) of DD...
