Why do I keep playing?
-
Opening day when I played the 4 days early hitting felt amazing
-
It is mind numbing as to why they have not yet reverted this patch. Are they wanting data? Or are they wanting to severely pis* off the majority of people who bought this years game? If it's the latter then its beginning to work. All one has to do is look at the front page of the forum to realize that.
-
Idk, I much prefer this over 9-8 thee inning event games
-
its the coronavirus quarantine game, that's why we keep playing.
kudos to the guy who said the 4 early days it felt amazing.....it truly did. i thought they had finally done it, made a great playing game. they did only to revert it back w the patch . sad. but those first 4 days will be remembered forever.
-
I still can't believe they accumulated all of the data in beta and probably spent months tweaking hitting and coming up with Perfect/Perfect and then decided to throw out all that work and tweak hitting only a few days after release.

This game plays fantastic offline in an actual baseball game, these forums are beyond cancerous, I'm out.
-
The pitching ain’t much to brag about either. Honestly, I don’t see anything good gameplay wise.

Peace out if you like playing against a cpu that swings randomly at pitches that are half way there or that have been in the mit for 2 seconds have fun. To there is nothing competitive about it and its boring but to each is their own.

I play on legend difficulty in franchise mode and the CPU is a pain in the azz tough, not sure how you can say there is nothing competitive about it, it’s hella competitive ... I haven’t played this years game yet so I can’t comment on that, but still playing 2019 ....

Seriously the hitting is god awful...i mean truly truly unsatisfying.
You should be banned. You are the biggest crybaby on these forums and that says a lot.

I really want to take them at their word, but that stuff about this being just 1/4 of a difficulty change is hard to swallow when you watch and play the game.
Honestly, I don’t get it. I can’t imagine they don’t want to get it right. What reason would they have for a crappy product? I’m sure they do want to get it right and make people happy. So, the question becomes do they want it to be good or is it just not possible. I’m not a programmer, so I won’t answer that.
As I played a few games yesterday, I wondered if maybe they’re too worried about the sim aspect. Don’t get me wrong, I want things to be realistic as anyone out there. It’s always bugged me when cards are juiced, etc. I love the realism. But it hit me in the aspect of playing games on veteran and you can’t get the CPU to throw a [censored] strike until a 3-ball count. They want you to wait (honestly, if it’s just rookie or veteran CPU, I don’t want to be patient. I want to play the game and advance), but I played and was forced to be patient and it got me thinking that maybe they are too focused on the sim aspect. Patient online against real people, sure. A 3-inning steal fans conquest game on veteran? Nah, let’s play the game, have a little fun and move on to the next one. And I say this as someone who enjoys/desires more realism.

Playing yesterday my timing was till way off. I actually ditched my Kontrol Freeks and somehow that helped my location of pitching and PCI placement (it should be the opposite). But it helped with the sticks. However, timing was still way off, no matter the level.

because you're probably quarantined with not much else to do.

Biggest thing I've noticed is SDS definitely nerfed power. Not sure how Judge hits a lazy flyball with good/okay contact & perfect PCI placement (Middle/up)...against Hershiser.

I completely understand where you guys are coming from, and it is harder to hit now. But before, pitching was hard. You had to have perfect timing and placement every pitch, which is really hard to do. I can still hit bombs fine, I think they need to improve the good good though.
