Please do something about the horrible pitching in this game.

The pitching in this game by the computer is absolute trash. I walk an average of 247 times a year playing every at bat in majors, and unlike Barry Bonds I'm barely ever intentionally walked. This isn't a walking simulator is it?
And it's not just in RTTS where it's trash either.
The pitching in moments is trash also. I walk or get hit by a pitch 60% of all at bats that I don't put the ball into play on 1st pitch. And the rest of those at bats I end up with 3 ball counts.
The pitching has always been pretty trash but this has to be the worst yet. -

When the game was released you couldn't use sliders in RTTS. And far as I know for moments, conquest, showdowns and other single player DD modes you can't use sliders. This is first year I actually play these DD modes as RTTS is no where near as enjoyable this year.
So no I'm not using the sliders in RTTS as then it would make the other modes unplayable as I'd be used to the sliders. -

Op has a point we shouldn't have to adjust sliders to get pitcher with higher control attributes to hit zone. The CPU pitching has been bad for 4 or 5 years now. Pitching in general about 6 or 7 years. Mostly pitch movement is where i see issue, it seems like it relies more on elevation as opposed to actual attribute of pitcher.

I feel like you get more walks on higher difficulties, but it also takes a much better eye to walk. I hardly ever walk when I play the CPU on All Star, but it seems like I walk 4 or 5 times on HOF.

This is where major league pitching is at right now. Trying to dent the black and elevating and dropping balls out of the zone. There's a lot of strikeouts and a lot of walks and the default settings do a good job of recreating this IMO. However, it's on the higher difficulties where the sim is best. Specifically, HOF. ALLSTAR is ok, but HOF with competitive settings using ZONE and PINPOINT is the bees knees right now against the CPU.
That being said, playing MOMENTS on the lower levels is a pain in the [censored] because the pitches are a lot easier to read. So, it seems like you're waiting forever to find a good pitch. You have 2 options IMO: 1. You're PCI is big enough to hit balls out of the zone, so get to crushing it, or; 2. use directional hitting and wait for the RNG ring in your favor.

I doubt it....

Did you think it might be you and not the game? Just sayin

Sure it is partly my fault because I foul off borderline/decent pitches more then I should. But I don't swing at balls that are in the dirt, or above my head. Nor do I swing at pitches that are a good foot off the black (east/west). And these type of pitches happen way to often. Now Granted I haven't watched baseball since Rivera blew 3 straight saves against the Redsox in ALCS, so maybe pitchers really have become this bad at hitting the zone.

No, OP has a point. Pitcher confidence has way too much influence on outcomes. Also, you would think a pitcher with maxed out confidence would challenge hitters but not in this game.
Lower difficulty moments are the worst. -

It's not that pitchers are "bad at hitting the zone" they're trying to avoid it because hitters are using "launch angle" to hit homeruns and elevate the ball over the shift. So, they're staying away from getting too much plate. Even though there are more HRs there are more Ks and more BBs because of this tendency.
There's been a different approach to hitting, so there's been a different approach to pitching and yes, things are different compared to 2004.
