Auto base running broke?!

I have changed my settings from assist to auto and back to assist and then back to auto again and it seems no matter what my AI will not auto base run, it’s makes me manually do it every time

If you play online you have to do manual. Same with fielding. Offline I haven't had any issues doing auto for both.

I am playing road to the show and don’t play online. I have the base running set to auto, but yet have to still manually run the base everytime.
Wondering if I should reinstall it or what.
My son has the game and has his setting on auto and doesn’t have to run the bases.
Just frustrating..

The auto controls the AI runners but you still have to run your own bases. It can be a pain because of the viewing angles. I use the LT a lot on Xbox to see where the ball is. Even then I find myself making mistakes I never would have playing real baseball even in H.S. Because the situational awareness isn’t there. You need VR or something so you can easily turn your head.
