Darn right I am. At my level the game itself is decided the outcomes.
Remember this SDS...You drew first blood!!

So, while I understand the OPs frustration, what exactly is the statement “The game forces your pitches down the middle” based upon? The only people who understand what is going on under the hood is SDS, anything else is speculative – and because all results need to be based on some sort of RNG due to ratings, I’d counter argue that it’s more likely that is what is causing pitches to go down the middle. As an average (at best) player who constantly goes back and forth between zone and directional, I’ve noticed I will miss pitches down the middle BECAUSE of the directional hitting engine anyway (plenty of times I’ve seen good timing on these pitches and simply miss – and I accept it’s because of my hitting-type choice when I’ve used it).
But to me, that is the point of having players with different ratings and RNG has to help determine the results. I go back to playing Strat-o-Matic Baseball & Pursue the Pennant, and Micro League Baseball (on the C64), all stats driven simulations with player ratings, and that is what made them fun. These games would have been meaningless without the ratings and “dice roll” on the outcome that yes, could produce a HR from Bobby Meachem off Roger Clemens at times.
If no simulation is wanted, then the ratings need to go and we’re left with playing with players that have no real association with MLB or its history (kinda the point of DD), each having the same abilities (because as soon two different types of in-game players are introduced, something under the hood must determine that difference, not the user – a wild fireballer such as Mitch Williams shouldn’t simply become a pitcher with great control because of good release because the difference between the two players mandates that). I don’t believe that is the intent of this game, however, which is the problem for folks who want only user input, and not RNG nor ratings, to matter.
Not a specific accusation here, but generally I’d also say that from most folks the speculation in this game from many users needs to be made over more than a sample size – and in baseball sample size could easily mean 60 or more games. Derek Jeter hit .189 with a .249 OBP for almost 2 months in 2004; but ended up at .292 and .352 respectively.

The game forces your pitches down the middle for the directional hitters and the simulation bs influences outcomes.
Yes, top players will always rise thanks to their ability to generate more chances for the RNG to go in their favor. For average players like myself against other average players, it’s up to who the game wants to favor. Who gets more errors, who the game hangs more pitches for, who the game favors with getting hits etc.
Get the simulation bs out of here...online should be human vs human only regardless of what the score is in a VIDEO GAME.
Worst part is when your opponent taunts like he’s good after getting benefited by the game. Exactly who SDS is making this game for every year.
The problem with your whole theory about who has ruined the game is that it completely ignores that fact that the recent hitting patch has hurt marginal players way more than it hurt good players.
And if the game should simply be about player vs player then they should give all players carbon copy teams with the exact same attributes and just forget about licensing the players at all.

Oh don’t worry, it hasn’t hurt anyone, you’ll still get plenty of pitches served right down the middle for you and the game forced errors can and will control momentum swings at will. Add in the nerfed hits to keep the score in check and the marginal players you speak of will have no problem with this game.
Don’t even talk about attributes and what not, they are meaningless when the simulation is controlling everything. For example, ever had an error by a diamond level fielder to start a rally? You think that’s just a coincidence that happened at that time of the game?
Ever had OK contact with near center PCI hit?
Simulation/RNG controlled game, plain and simple.

I’m just over waiting for somebody to serve me a pitch down the middle.

Eh, maybe your right, all the players reporting the same garbage happening must all be lying. Sure, that’s a reasonable explanation

Obviously there has to be some sort of sim ratings or else commons would be hitting 500 foot bombs with 35 power all the time. The ratings just show what the user input could produce. 90 power will have more bombs with good input etc. so yes there has to be some sort of influencer on the players abilities, but there should be none on the user. Input should determine potential outcome, and yes that includes perfect perfect line outs sometimes as well

Lets play a game, I’ll throw every pitch top center and all you have to do is sit back and wait for the game to force my pitches to a better spot for you to hit. Trust me, you’ll get a few of them to crush.

Considering the fact that op's post got 18 likes (as of replying to you) and you're standing at 0, I'm gonna go ahead and guess you're exactly the type of player OP described and enjoy looking in a mirror when making comments.

Well you know There is a penalty for spaming the same pitch right?

Player ratings should affect the ease of use of a card.
Ex. Great control = big yellow bar
If your so good that you can use crappier cards... so be it. Going to be a small percent of users.
User input should be 1:1 output in online games.

So that just proves his point? There's penalties for throwing too many offspeed pitches. More proof pitching is stupidly broken.

So the penalty is the game putting it perfectly for your opponent to smash? Sounds about right. What about all the other players reporting the same issues with pitching? Certainly not everyone is spamming the same pitch yet I’m reading about plenty of pitches going down the middle or nowhere close to where they’re aiming.

Yeah not going where they are aimed I agree..being pulled to the middle not so much

I hang pitches too but if you are good at pitching and find the green bar you wont hang nearly as many. Find a pitcher with a release you like instead of trying everything you think is a stud is my suggestion. Stats arent everything, a nice smooth release will really help you locate way better
um, yea except that the key to pitch control is actually slightly early slightly late, greening on pitches is either a complete miss or the biggest meatball you have ever seen. So...yea the key isn't perfecting your release in this game, because input means nothing when it comes to pitching in this game.
