Base running attributes that don’t mean [censored]! With that being said it makes it that much more my own fault for putting myself in this position yet at the same time wtf!!! I mean seriously the amount of times this [censored] has happened in the 9th inning alone is countless while comparing it to real life which I can probably assure you has never happened once to the man himself Kenny Lofton.
I mean come on though seriously wtf! First and foremost it should already be applied in the game that any player with 99 speed/base running can’t literally never be thrown out when taking a one step lead unless of course the steal is in effect. Yet the fact that with Kenny Lofton no less I get picked off with no steal signal in play and only going back and forth from normal lead to one step lead and of course just to top it all off it not only once again occurs in the most critical situation possible in the 9th inning but of course is done so while on SECOND BASE!!! I mean really though it’s a f&@king joke. Something like this should not even literally be possible in this game and yet it is not only very possible but obviously something very common. In fact it seems that it is even more so commonly the case to players with higher base running attributes than those with drastically lower ratings.

This!! if got a guy with good speed and baserunning he shouldnt sh!t the bed so much on the base paths. I should be able to get back every time on one lead minimal unless i hit the steal button than all means if he throws over i should be screwed but if i dont hit the steal button i should be back to the base everytime unless using a player with worst speed/baserunning

They could better balance this. Make elite guys be able to get back, but then give the pitchers the option to slide step to throw them out. Don’t let people return to 1B every time when they see a slide step.

I was playing conquest last night and one game I never tried to steal at all. 3rd inning comes up, Tatis on first. I'm winning like 5-0 or something and 2 out. I give the first steal command ofbthe gane and instantaneously the CPU tries to pick me off. Then he throws over twice in a row and then a pitch out. I wish they didn't make the CPU cheat so obviously in this game.
Once I took a lead off and literally as I hit L1 they picked me off. Such trash programming IMO.

taking an extra step is for scrubs. don't do it you won't get picked off.

I could see if ur saying taken two extra steps. but most guys cant even still a base if u steal perfect on a pitchers wind up on no extra steps. Idk what speedsters you use but even kenny lofton needs that 1st step sometimes.. you must have it perfectly timed steals on every guys delivery in game if its that easy. Were not worthy oh mighty base stealer

I have 1 stolen base this year haha. I dont bother. I just hate the guys that take an extra step no matter how many times you step off.

I mean this kinda seems like your setting yourself up for failure.. most ppl understand the game gives you a generous lead by default the extra step is unnecessary especially if you aren’t planning on stealing. If I play someone taking a step I’ll throw over all the time. If you are trying to steal the best way to do it is to steal without taking a step and time L1 right as the pitcher is going to start the windup.

Just steal on the pickoff move. Apparently it takes the middle infielder 5 seconds to react and throw to third. Had this happen to me one game and it was annoying.

I think the bigger issue is having a player with super high speed/stealing attributes who doesn’t start moving towards second base on a steal til a right handed pitcher almost has his front foot back on the ground about to release the ball. A player that knows how to steal should be leaving as soon as a rhp picks his foot up or pretty close too it

Why can I not steal 2nd base with Kenny Lofton online tho? Am i missing something? why does the catcher throw me out everytime when he has 99 speed and 99 steal?

I'll pick off any runner that takes an extra step lead of second 100% of the time. Love it when they don't learn and keep doing it over and over again!
