Imagine trying to tell the free market not to make stubs when demand is high....
The fact you think this is a free market makes believe you wore a helmet to school.
Do tell how a system that is based purely on supply and demand without any intervention from the governing body (in this case SDS) is somehow not a free market when that's literally the definition. If you want regulated markets then go look at HUT in NHL 21. It's awful when you pull a card there and they tell you oh that card caps out at 10k when people would be willing to pay 50k for it to complete a set. MLBs system rewards the seller because A) it makes collections harder to do and more of a badge of honor for those that do them and B) why should a player have to sell a card for less then what people are willing to pay?

Guys, I didn't start this thread only to have an argument unfold. Besides, there are buying and boycott campaigns in economics all the time. The proposal I've made even helps offline players, who have less ways to make stubs.

Well there is intervention by SDS tho. It's called caps. There are both min caps for selling & max caps for buying. That is why it's not a true free market. Take the caps off and I bet there would be a lot more of these kind of threads because someone bought up all of 1 common player and then posted them all for millions instead of thousands of stubs.

Yeah I too am curious as to why you think this is not a free market. I'll proceed to take off my helmet and put on a tin foil hat to try and get on your wavelength.

SDS sets market minimums/maximums, and limits the amount of stubs one can "hold".
What about that is a free market to you?
Back to school, son.

Sets market min/max? Clearly you haven't seen the price fluctuations for cards when there's literally none on the market because there is none of that. As for the amount of stubs one can hold is this something you figured out by emptying your bank account in game?
Seems like you're the one that needs to go back to high school and take a basic economics class to learn the difference. Also wearing a helmet doesn't help you learn or anything like that. But it's super useful for dealing with people like you who think they know something about something when they clearly don't so then when I'm bashing my head against the wall wondering how someone can live like that then it doesn't hurt me.

With the roster update last week, some players have been moved around, with some being added to teams. Since they're new on the market, they often have no active sell orders or are for sale at a high price (going to the thousands of Stubs). This impedes the progress of those of us working to complete the Live Series collection. Remember AJ Ramos? It's like that, but with more cards, currently.
I've compiled a list of players that have been added to live series rosters that have yet to see their prices decrease. This list may also include cards that have been there since day one but are expensive for their rating. If you have any duplicates of these cards, please put them for sale on the market! Let's get those prices down and get our collections done (aside from the roadblock that is Mike Trout, of course )!
- Louis Head (Rays)
- Anthony Castro (Blue Jays)
- Mac Sceroler (Orioles)
- Zack Short (Tigers)
- J.T. Riddle (Twins)
- Tzu-Wei Lin (Twins)
- Jeison Guzman (Royals)
- Kent Emanuel (Astros)
- Scott Schebler (Angels)
- Reymin Guduan (Athletics)
- Elvis Andrus (Athletics)
- Brett De Geus (Rangers)
- Anderson Tejeda (Rangers)
- Kohei Arihara (Rangers)
- Sandy Leon (Marlins)
- Sean Kazmar Jr. (Braves)
- Nate Jones (Braves)
- Odubel Herrera (Phillies)
- Trevor Megill (Cubs)
- Rex Brothers (Cubs)
- Zach Davies (Cubs)
- Jonathan Holder (Cubs)
- Pablo Reyes (Brewers)
- Heath Hembree (Reds)
- Scott Hurst (Cardinals)
- Alex Reyes (Cardinals)
- Ben Heller (Diamondbacks)
- Alan Trejo (Rockies)
- Sheldon Neuse (Dodgers)
- Nick Ramirez (Padres)
- Ha-Seong Kim
Note: A lot of Cubs players and Athletics players are expensive for some reason.
If you get dupes of these cards, or if you got them after you've completed their team's collection, make a sell order for them on the market! DO NOT quick sell them or "sell now" when you get them from packs. There is a bug that makes anything you sell now from a pack quick sold, so be careful!
Thank you!
Yeah! And while we’re at it let’s get those gas prices down again! Looking at you Big Oil!!

3/4 of these cards you can flip a couple times and then get the card with the profits.

Please go try to set a price higher than 1,000 stubs for a common card and then come back and let me know about this “free market” you speak of.

Anyone got any of the cards from that list?

Markets have rules.

They're now 2500 lmao

Cubs and As both have Diamond collection rewards for rosters with no diamonds.

They did raise it and should compensate everybody 1500 stubs for every single one they sold.
Also as far as I can tell they nerfed their packs big time so better get them now before all the pack pullers can’t afford to pull packs anymore. A diamond every 250 packs gonna get them broke quick. Guessing quota time came around and not a lot of money being thrown at them because their broken servers. Cant complain though because my luck was fire but I’m out the pack game no more supplying y’all market. Might turn to cornering these cards now make sure they never go down haha

Because they made you sell it for 1,000 then raised it to 2500.I probably sold hundred of these cards since Friday. You know how much that is. Medium size yikes.
