    I cannot stress this enough.

It cannot be that hard to implement the same stamina system that is in place for the bullpen, for the starting rotation

If we can select our starters in ‘20, it would place a large amount of value back into SP and collecting 8-10 solid starters that you could rotate in and out of your rotation.

Could also bring more strategy into the game.

Going into a RS game and going for CS/WS and want your best SP? Maybe he’s slightly gassed? You could choose to start him for 4-6 innings and then close it out with the pen.

So frustrating when you finally get an awesome starting pitcher card that you want to try out but it takes multiple RS games before you get to use him.

Please SDS, let us pick our starter and implement a stamina system in ‘20

We would need an indication at the roster/lineup screen showing how tired our starters and relievers are for RS gameplay. Sometimes people take a few days off and may not remember who they last pitched with on Tuesday.

my Last 9 RS games, 5 with wainwright, 2 with kluber( had him in my rotation for 2 weeks before him being selected) and 1 wth kershaw and 1 with cole. I like pitching with wainwright but I’d like to use my whole staff

Definitely agree. When I first got SS Verlander, I went 47 RS games before he was selected.

    FORTY SEVEN

This is the main indicator of how flawed the system is

    Here's a way
Game 1: Game picks between 5 Random pitchers
Game 2: Game picks between 4 Random pitchers
Game 3: Game picks between 3 Random pitchers
Game 4: Game picks between 2 Random pitchers
Game 5: Game picks 1 Remaining pitcher
Game would sort by card and slot. things could be done to curb cheesing the system as well(A card starting with 0 energy if started too soon)

I don't like that system. If it's going to become where each start is a different guy in your rotation, I want control over that.
What if the game's randomness decides to use up my top four pitchers and the 5th game is the WS play-in? I get my worst pitcher and my opponent could have his best selected. If it's going to become an actual rotation instead of what we have now, I want control over when my guys take the mound.

I want the choice to save my best pitcher if I know I'm close to WS.

That's not a compromise, that's worse then what we have now. At least with the current randomness, I know if it picks my 5th pitcher, my opponent also gets his 5th. Your proposed randomness could make it select his 1st and my 5th and I'd have no control over that.

It's absolutely a compromise. Because that removes the issue of getting your 5th SP 22 times in a row, which is fixable without giving you control(Which SDS does not want)

You add RNG, but also give players the guarantee they will see all 5 pitchers(which players would rather have). There's a very specific reason why you don't get to pick your starter, and it has to do with abusing the game to get outcomes you want

I get that why they don't want to, I'm not arguing otherwise.
I'm saying your solution is worse. Yeah you see all 5 starters, but the downsides are worse then what we have now.

You see it as a negative, I see it as an improvement, and more realistic. In baseball, pitchers have faced pitchers that didn't hold the same spot in their rotation. it happens all the time

It's not more realistic because teams have control over when and who they start. You see it all the time when nearing the playoffs, they manipulate their rotation to get who they want starting.

Your solution is adding more RNG and would add more frustration to the player base. I can already see the conspiracy theories being posted. "Whenever I'm about to move up a division I always get my 5th and my opponent gets his ace"! It doesn't matter if that's true or not, people will post it and it will cause a headache for SDS.

I would also like the ability to have two possible starting lineups, one if you are facing a lefty and one if you’re facing a righty.

I get that people could/would abuse this, but it sucks if you have a clear platoon and have to burn a player if you face a certain handed pitcher. Not as much of an issue currently since there are so many great cards, but earlier in the year I would have really enjoyed being able to platoon. Maybe implement a system where you can select only one platoon option per lineup, so you’d have to select the position and the two players pre-game so I’d get Frank vs lefties and Giambi vs righties and the rest of the lineup would be the same.

I think if we selected SP even with a stamina system it would make it so I would face the same guys over and over. It might effective make SPs openers

I am indifferent towards having a lefty or righty lineup
